A very 'go with the flow' mentality and atmosphere make the stay very pleasant. The same goes for breakfast: just tell the staff what you like, and they prepare it for you. Normally, I don't appreciate hotel breakfasts because they are often overpriced for what you get. But at Brownies & Downies Valkenswaard, it is more than worth it. And to save the best for last - the energy and effort from all staff to give you a comfortable stay is incredible and heartwarming.
Harba Lorifa is located in the woods of Valkenswaard, in the middle of a sports park. It offers a terrace to relax and free parking spaces. Free Wi-Fi is available at the hostel.

Very clean, bedroom spacious, bed very comfortable and soft and from all my hotel experiencees, they have one of the best shower system in a hotel. Location is ideal. It's Close by to the city centre and the highway.

Valkenswaard is a lovely town. We went there for the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Town in 1944 with the Market Garden Push.
We go to visit the grave of a relative.
Lots of good restaurants. Greek Restaurant Sirtaki was excellent.
Steak House Beer & Beefs, really good Steaks.
Very nice high street & shopping areas. Always beautiful flowers on display, & the people of the town are very friendly.
Bus service looks good, but I am told they do not take cash, only cards. No direct bus to airport.
No free Car Parking, so we longer hire a car when we are there.
But we also had difficulty getting a Taxi to the airport , so friends took us.
Super nice hosts and a beautiful place with everything you need. Lovely interior, comfortable and spacious. There's a terrace to enjoy the sun and the beautiful views of the garden and fields. There's a little kitchen if you want to use it - but we highly recommend the breakfast which was really amazing. We especially loved the art all around the house inside and outside and that our car had a private spot to be parked on.
Valkenswaard is a beautiful little town too!
The cabana is a much better alternative to a hotel. It is nicely equipped and comfortable for food prep and meals. The grounds are serene and interesting. There are wild falcons and their nests as well as chickens, bee hives, gardens, walnut grove, and a wonderful tea terrace with tasty fare. The family who owns it are so nice and very friendly with my son who got up every morning to feed the chickens. He was sad to leave.
Spacious apartment. With sitting area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped, with all necessary kitchen utensils. T.v.: you can connect your Netflix. Location is close to the center of Valkenswaard and access to the Leenderbos. A shed to store your bicycle and to charge electric bicycles. You can park your car in the driveway.
I liked the location in the centre of Valkenswaard. Nice stores in the direct surrounding of the Hotel and a great farmers market on Thursday.
The 2nd day we were given a tray with coffee cups and tea because there was no service in the Hotel.
We liked the little fridge in the room to keep some things in for a quick breakfast in the morning.
