It is not my first time over there.
It is not my first time over there. It is a very charming little village with things to do in every season of the year. It has a perfect distance from the towns e.g. Beverwijk and Heemskerk and to Alkmar or Amsterdam. It has been my favourite beach village near Amsterdam in Holland so far.

It is a beautiful small peaceful town in a lovely area right on the coast. It centres around a very large grassy 'field' where local horses graze. We only found one shop (Spar) but several restaurants although the menus were somewhat limited. We found the best places to eat were the restaurants on the beach, only a ten minutes walk away.
This is a very quiet, peaceful & cozy tiny house that greatly added to the enjoyment of my time spent in Wijk aan zee. The location is close to the downtown area and pretty much everything you want to see and all the restaurants are within easy walking distance. There's a well-stocked Spar grocery/convenience store two blocks away. The hosts have pretty much anticipated all the needs of a traveler and provided for them. I won't hesitate to recommend this wonderful oasis to my friends and fellow travelers.
My recent stay at this beachfront cottage in Wijk aan Zee was a delightful experience. The tastefully decorated interiors, comfortable bedrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen made it a cozy retreat. The proximity to the beach and the option to rent surfboards added a touch of adventure, while the convenience of on-site services like massages and catering enhanced the overall stay. Highly recommend for a balanced mix of relaxation and seaside enjoyment.
The hostess Letti was very welcoming and friendly. I had a lovely light, airy room which was nicely decorated, very clean with a well equipped little kitchen. I was in Wijk aan Zee to visit a friend at Heliomare and this was the perfect place to stay. It had a very relaxing atmosphere and I wish I could have stayed for longer. Definitely my choice for a return visit.
We booked this hotel after it dropped prices massively, probably because of bad weather. Nevertheless our stay was comfortable. Clean rooms, spacious. The bed is indeed a bit on the soft side, but for us quite OK. Easy to reach and the beach is just around the corner. A nice surprise - the parking is included in the price if booked via booking.com
Overall very friendly staff, original vintage style buildung in great shape, highly confortable beds and clean rooms. Hotel parking for free. Great coffee!
The short distance to the beach is excellent, Wijk is a cozy holiday place with cute streets and friendly people. Going to visit again!
.Angelique's smile and cheerfullnes. The privacy, the comfort ( everything is fresh, new and perfectly fitted ) the charming details of decoration, the private sunny yard, the great location, next to the supermarket and center of the village + beach...
Right at the beach!
Huge room with a hard floor which is great as you go in and out to the beach.
They even thought of a floor sweeper so you could tidy up the room and get some sand out of the room.
Parking space at the hotel.
We stayed in “het Villaatje” a beautiful guest house next to the hotel. Total privacy. The hotel has a great restaurant (famous chef). The beach is on 5 minute walking distance. Pittoreske historic center around the corner.
Lovely hotel in fantastic location right by the beach. We enjoyed our balcony and the wonderful views. Breakfast was good, you can see the ocean from here too. :) Staff were friendly and helpful.
Close to the beach. 31st of December special dinner was fabulous. Very affordable deal for kids. Breakfast was great! Some older people who worked there were very polite and welcoming.
Good location close to the beach and the town. The hosts made us feel welcome. There was a rack outside to put our bikes in and lock them up. Shop close by for food and drinks.
Both the room and bathroom were large and comfortable. The hotel is just a short walk to the sea and they have an outdoor swimming pool if don't want to go to the beach.
