We had breakfast at Cafe Engel. It was good and varied. It is a charming place. We had a second coffee without extra charge.
Hanze Hotel Zwolle is set in a monumental building, in the heart of the city of Zwolle. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view on the historic city and canals.

Although this was a very good location and close to the old city center, it was a very noisy place. It was a very warm evening and so the outdoor patios around the hotel were very busy until quite late. The hotel did, however, provide ear plugs. Coffee in the room was very good. Not sure we liked the electronic keys. One of the waitresses was very good about helping us understand the lack of check-in staff and the electronic key. The bar below the hotel was very old and had a lot of character.
