My absolute favourite chain! The room was gorgeous and with a great view of the port (and the snow). Breakfast was delicious and with a great variety of food. I love the free coffee from the reception area and the little convenience store. The location allowed me to walk anywhere in town and it's a few steps from the bus that goes to the airport. The restaurant on the 17th floor is really worth your money and the staff was so kind! Scandic truly never disappoints.

We were in Bodo for just two nights and didn't wish to rush around, so we enjoyed exploring the waterfront and harbour area, watching the boats and taking in some of the restaurants and bars there. We arrived by train and left by plane - it was just great to be able to walk to the airport, which is close to the centre of the town yet we weren't disturbed by any noise from it during our stay.

Bodø is a charming, very walkable city where lots has been done to make streets accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. The city center (~ from the inner harbor to around Bankgata) is small, with a nice mix of new and traditional architecture and building styles. The streets have trees and wide sidewalks. The main shopping street, Storgata, is very nice and has a wide variety of shops that culminate in the Glashuset interior shopping area with the Koch Shopping Center attached.
I can recommend Nyholmen fort as a nice picnic spot with great view of the city - it's easy to reach it by bicycle. Also recommend the Jektefartsmuseum, which is about 4 km away from the city center.
On my next visit, I would stay a day or so longer and maybe get a rental car one or two days, to be able to go to Kjerringøy. But would also rent a bike again, as well, since getting around Bodø on bike is super easy.

The seashore is packed with huge hotels and other building plus boats thus have to go out of the city to enjoy the senery.
I believe most of the visitors use Bodo as transfer point to Lofoten.
City is clean and has all the necessary services available. Airport just a few minutes from the center.

Such a wonderful place, we loved the area and the lack of commercialism. We enjoyed exploring the town and the aircraft museum. We hired a car and visited Mjelle Beach up the coast and the maelstrom which I would highly recommend.

Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink.
Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink. Great natural attractions not too far away; like Saltstraumenbrua, with the fastest running water and whirlpools. Also, the Norwegian Avaition Musem in the noprth of the city is well worth a vist if you have an interest in aircraft and military history.

The aviation museum is very good with sections on military and civil aviation.
Bodo is a small place so we walked everywhere. Ther are Bird electric scooters and busses & taxis.
Pleasant clean place with posh hotels and nice waterfront and harbour.
We did come in late June and had great sunny weather: probably very different in the rain!
Great little place to rest my head!
I came in from Lofoten Islands late at night, so the self check-in was very convenient and easy to navigate. This was only about 10 minutes walk from the ferry port, another plus coming from a long ferry ride. The price was excellent and very affordable for Norway! Beds were very comfortable for a dorm, and I roomed with some really lovely girls and saw the Northern Lights that night! Will definitely use this as a stop over point next time on Bodø.
The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and in a great location on the waterfront. We were lucky enough to have amazing views out across the harbour towards the surrounding islands and of the shifting weather patterns as they moved through. Having a good restaurant on the top floor was great and also the bar there with the balconies and views. There was a good selection of food choices for breakfast.
Absolutely can not fault the hotel!! Great rooms, location.
The breakfast was extraordinary and the staff was extremely helpful and going out of their way to help.
We had dinner at the restaurant and needed advice on ingredients as my mother can not eat everything and the staff went out of their way to recommend and check that everything was suitable for her
Very smart hotel indeed. Self check-in machine available with instructions on what to do. Reached after the stipulated check in time so the main door was closed, but we managed to follow someone else in, otherwise we will need to call a local number to gain access into the hotel lobby. Room was clean and spacious!
Hotel is great..room was great, staff were great, the wife is in a wheelchair so had no problem with moving around..hotel put us close to the lift and emergency exit..room had disable facilities. We were only staying in Bodo for a few day and picked this hotel randomly..great decision.
I am not much of a breakfast person, so I only ate breakfast the first morning. It was okay. The bed was very comfortable! I really liked the option of self check-in and check-out. I really appreciated proper toilet paper, and not the thin and hard type you normally get in hotels.
Location…walking distance to the airport and train station. Also very convenient for boat and ferry terminals, as well as local buses.
The hotel was modern and airy. Rooms had all the essentials, very clean and modern.
A great hotel , lovely breakfast and great supper. A lovely relaxing environment- the highlight of this was how lovely the staff were- so friendly and so helpful. We rebooked with them for our last night in Norway
Food. Dinners are nice and fika in the afternoon was amazing! I especially loved the lift - doors close immediately when you press the button of your floor. (Normally I am annoyed by slow lifts in hotels.)
Cosy family-run hotel close to city centre. Spacious room, comfortable bed and reasonable view! Good Norwegian breakfast and very close to bus stops and other facilities.
Very nice hotel with a great breakfast in the morning. The restaurant space is also very confortable to work during the day or arrange a meeting with partners / friends.
