Good location. Helpful land owner. Good advice for alternative routes to Geiranger due to road closure. Free to upgrade our room as we were the last guests this year.

Great location at lakeside. The unit is very cozy for 5 pax.
This hotel has one of the best locations around fjords. Great view and access to Hellesylt. Close to main toad, just 5 muns away from amazing waterfall of Hellesylt. View from room and balcony is mesmerizing. Good prompt service, pleasant staff makes it up for very basic set up. Rooms are small with 2 beds + bunk bed.
Breakfast is included in room cost. Basic items including few options for vegetarian.
Good hot shower
It has a fantastic view of the fjords, we did not get hand towel in the toilet but the bath towel we got was enough to use one as a hand towel so that was no problem. The breakfast was ok, i enjoyed the place wpuld love to book here again in my next time visit in Geiranger and maby explore more Hellesylt because this time we were just here for an over night stay on our way to fartsatad from kvam.
The location. I was very glad I stayed in Hellesylt rather than Geiranger. The breakfast was decent hostel standard. Kitchen was good with lots of fridge space. Lots of places to sit inside and outside. Nice view from the terrace. Staff were friendly. Could do a load of laundry (wash and dry) for 25 NOK. Room was basic but comfortable.
The hostel Is located up the Hill of Hellesylt so you can enjoy a fantastic view over the Geirangerfjord both from the shared kitchen and the room.
We booked a bulked bed, but since It was disposable the reception guy offered us a double bed, much appreciated! It is located 2 steps away from the ferry departure of Hellesylt.
The equipment is simple and solid, but very clean. The staff is very helpful, the breakfast is also adequate. If you travel without a car and arrive at the Hellesylt bus stop, you should plan a challenging climb to the hostel. But it can be done.
Superb view from balcony on the fjord.
Hotel has a sharm of travels and adventures of 70s.
Room is minimalistic but clean and has heater in case of cold.
Breakfast fare and tasty.
