The hotel looked much nicer than expected on the inside.
The room was clean and reasonably comfortable.
There was plenty of shampoo and shower gel.
The majority of staff were friendly and helpful. All staff spoke English.
It was easy to book a taxi from a tablet on reception.
The pool and pool area was clean, bright, sunny and quiet.
The location was good with some excellent bars and restaurants a short walk away.
The continental breakfast buffet was good (perhaps one of the best), with waffle making facilities, a wide range of fruits, meats, cheeses, cereals and pastries, plus an omelette station.

I had a lovely and comfortable room. The host was amazing and made me feel very welcome. He even gave me a lift to the train station after my stay at no extra cost. Very kind and goes above and beyond with the visitors. 10/10 would stay again.

Sandefjord is very much a working, functional port town with good marina facilities for leisure boaters. There are plenty of options to dine out and have a stroll around the harbour/port area, but it is not really big on tourism as such, which is probably not a bad thing. If you are driving, the links to the major routes are easy to follow, and of course you have the ferry port for travelling over to Sweden.

Norwegians are friendly and nice also helpful to tourists like us if we want to go places and need to catch the bus My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Sandefjord. It was about a half hour walk to the port and all the shops. There is also a lovely park down there too with lots of interesting things. There is a supermarket around the corner from the house, which is open every day. We personally found it a little strange to have so many of the owners' personal belongings around but it didn't spoil anything. It was just different but also interesting.

The apartment was spacious, has a fully equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom. Location - intimate housing estate, peace and quiet, a bit far from the railway station.
