Wonderful, clean, tasteful place to stay! We loved our time here! Very short walk to the beach and town eateries/shops. Erin was lovely and gave helpful information about things to do. A real bonus was her darling dog Cleo. Would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived after Cyclone Lola so it was wet and sea was churned up with a big swell. The sun came out and we enjoyed our evening walk on the beach which is beautiful. The morning we got up at 5.30 am and drove to the foot of Te Pare and walked up to the point for sunrise photos. We did the Hahei explorer boat trip which was a great way to see the coastline which is currently shut to walkers. Later we drove to Hot Water Beach which was great fun leaping the huge waves! The tide and swell was too high to dig spa pools but we felt the hot water with our toes! We had dinner both nights in The Pour House which served amazing food.

Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts.

Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts. They helped us with great advice regarding road closures we encountered on the way. Thanks to Phil, we found an alternate route and missed the closure completely. Once we arrived we felt so welcome and Phil gave us a ride up to the start of the Cathedral Cove walk. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely apartment located in a quiet little road only five minutes walk from the beach, and near to the few cafes and pub in Hahei. The apartment had everything we needed, the friendly owners even lent us spades to take to the Hot Water Beach which is just ten minutes drive away. We found the bed really comfortable, and there was a good shower, also good kitchen facilities. We ate in the apartment, but enjoyed a drink at the nearby pub which had great beers, and the food there looked good too. Very much recommend staying here.

Excellent stay, the location was within walking distance of Hahei Beach where you will find local sightseeing operators and local stores. It provided an excellent base to see all the surrounding tourist hotspots. I will book with Erin on my next trip to New Zealand to just relax before flying out. It was my Zen place.

Wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts. The prettiest little cottage, beautifully fitted out, in a lush garden setting. Hahei is a lovely little walkable village with a few shops including a small supermarket, and a hotel serving mostly pizza, fish and chips, a lovely beach, good walks, easy drive to Hot Water Beach.

The Hahei Beach Resort is located next to the Hahei Beach so we enjoyed the swimming during our stay. We loved it so much that we booked one more night in the Garden studio which was even more fantastic. The resort staff was kind and let us check in earlier so we could take a shower after kayaking in the morning.

The location was great. Super easy access to Hahei beach just around the corner. We also loved that they had food available on the property. Made it so much easier since we went from Auckland straight here after a 15 hour flight. Room wasn't anything crazy, but it worked for our needs.
