Delphine is an attentive and considerate host. We loved the lush gardens, the immaculate interiors elegantly furnished with items from our hosts’ travels and coming home to the wood fired stove. So many extras - We could have played tennis, sat by the outdoor fire or had a spa bath if we’d wished. Plenty of breakfast options to cook as you please, at whatever time you please.

Close enough to the beach despite no views. Pool was fun for the kids even though it was cold, in summer if would be perfect. Pool towels were provided. Breakfast was varied enough for kids and adults tastes and had alternative milks (oat, soy, almond) and GF bread My husband liked that the AC worked very well, able to get down to 17 degrees The reception staff had previously given us a quote for breakfast that was less than the published price once we got there, and the staff accommodated us to keep the discounted price which was very kind of them. Also the washing machine "gobbled" our coins, and the staff kindly rescued the coins and allowed us a free use of the washing machine for our hassle.

The hotel is perfectly located on the esplanade, within walking distance of the wharf, restaurants and attractions. It has such character, but for an older building, offered comforts such as a lift for the rooms on the first floor. I loved the decor, a mix of old and contemporary. There was a wedding on that night but I was not affected by the noise at all, the windows must have double glazing.
