Central location - it has a water view but you saw more of the road than water. The room was pretty basic but clean and the bed was comfy

The beach is nice but it is always super crowded like the Riveria or something. Very limited facilities in Kinloch with just one general store and a cafe both of which are always busy because of the beach crowds. If staying in Kinloch you need to bring food with you.

We had never been to Kinloch before.

We had never been to Kinloch before. Couldn't get accomodation in Taupo due a sports event. We were enroute to Wanganui and breaking up the trip. Kinloch was lovely to walk around, a marina with fantastic homes and bridges across the marina. A nice beach im sure in the summer. Lovely parks and walkways. Very impressed with Kinloch but lacked in the food department. There is a takeaway fish and chip shop with a pizza oven in the summer months only. Dreadful fish and burnt chips! Didn't feel like going out for dinner so made the mistake of getting takeaways. Go to the one restaurant to not be dissapointed.

We were there for an event so the location was perfect.

We were there for an event so the location was perfect. There are more eating out options in Taupo - Kinloch was a bit limited. We had been recommended the pizza at the general Store but that is on offer in summer only. Pluses - Nice and quiet. Beautiful scenery. Lovely walks and mountain biking. Great coffee at the General Store.

Small lakeside village, beautiful peaceful and relaxing environment. Great marina for boats, excellent golf course but light on social amenities : one well stocked general store with takeaway options but only one restaurant with limited opening hours in the winter.

A lovely quiet area close to Taupo.

A lovely quiet area close to Taupo. The Tipsy Trout serves great food an coffee. The general store has a good supply of what you may need as well as fish and cips and pizzas for takeout. The views up at the look out are fantastic and the beach around the lake is beautiful.
