This could be great if a little more thought had gone into its maintenance, furnishings and appliances; because the property is large, newish and well positioned. Sadly the bed was uncomfortable (you just rolled into its centre), the furniture was a miss match that looked like a secondhand furniture store had been raided and the shower was incredibly small. Plus one or two fixings were on their last legs so you were scared to touch them in case they broke. To top it all the washing machine was very old fashioned and there was no tumble dryer to dry your washing!! It felt very cold and unloved when you entered after fighting to open the key safe.

Stunning property in an idyllic location. Steve and Liz (and the beautiful dog Beau) gave us the warmest welcome. The bedrooms were well equipped - lots of power points, room for luggage, comfy beds and stunning views. The separate sitting room upstairs was a great place to unwind each night too.

Luggate is a quiet village with an authentic, unpretentious NZ pub and not a lot else in the village itself, but it is close to Wanaka, which an attractive, modern small town, offering offers a variety of things to do, and there are various attractions, including a lovely lavender farm on the road between Luggate and Wanaka.
There are a wide variety of good places to eat in Wanaka, to suit most tastes.
