I can recommend Pomeroy's Cafe.on the opposite side of the Square for their delicious matcha laites. Nelson's many art gallerys are enough to satisfy the most avid art lover with the delightful, meandering walk out through Queens Gardens to Nelson's Suter Art Gallery and cafe, always a highlight.

Nelson is a lovely town, with beautiful hanging baskets and old, unique architecture, close to Tahunanui beach, which is lovely. The Saturday market is great and wandering around Nelson town is fun, there are some good small specialty shops. I enjoyed the museum and the Suter Art Gallery and Queens Gardens. It is also a great base to visit both the Marlborough and the Tasman regions.

The Art and Crafts I saw were excellent.
The Art and Crafts I saw were excellent. The Suter Gallery was a highlight, and I enjoyed the Cathedral. I really enjoyed the walk up to "the centre of N.Z" and the views from there. I had some very good food and liked looking at the architecture - e.g the villas and transitional villas in The Brook. Founders Park and Miyazu Japanese Garden were great. Also, having a craft beer at "The Free House", a church that has been converted into a drinking place( and painted with fun colours) was wonderful.

Friendliness and facilities were so nice.We had a lovely balcony with table and chairs.Near the beach. The lady I Ispoke to on the phone requesting a bath also came to greet us and she remembered me from our phone call and said enjoy your bath you deserve it. She must have remembered when I spoke to her previously we were going to be tired as we had come from a month of entertaining friends and family. This got us off to a great start. Then we were so happy to see how lovely our unit was.A Wonderful stay
We had a 2nd floor room w/ balcony overlooking the marina- loved the view. Room had microwave, frig, hot water kettle and French press. Nice common dining room w/ continental breakfast provided. Belinda ( manager) couldn’t have been nicer. As was the cleaning staff. Short drive to downtown Nelson, or the other direction to good waterfront restaurants. Bonus was sweet cat, Tiddlywinks, who came around for pets. I would ask for room facing the waterfront- I would not have liked the courtyard facing rooms.
Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of choices and particularly as we are a vegetarian family we felt very well catered to with this diet. The location was in a very beautiful part of the town and very easy walk to the centre of Nelson and it's conveniences. The host Carolyn was so friendly and attentive without being intrusive and was happy to provide information on the surrounds for activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay at Peppertree again.
We stayed at Tasman Bay Backpackers over new years. It is a really clean backpackers and the showers were great. The beds were clean and comfy and not a bad size. We paid for a double private room which was good value for money. The communal areas are really nice and spacious, the atmosphere in the morning (until 10am) is really relaxing. Free chocolate pudding was a nice touch at the end of a day exploring of Nelson.
Truly, this studio was a bit of heaven on earth. The location is exceptionally beautiful with the views over the bay. Having breakfast with those views was amazing. The hottub was great after a long day of hiking. The hosts are really friendly and like to talk about the neighborhood. You also get greeted by their cat Pablo. Would definitely go there again if we ever visit Nelson again. 11/10 would recommend
Lovely little accommodation in a great spot (short walk into Nelson city) and a lovely area. The owners were so helpful and accommodating and were on hand to assist with anything I may have needed. They were very happy to share their wonderful facilities with me and answer any questions that I had. It was spotlessly clean also and very modern. I would stay there again.
Very fortunate to have found you. We live in Golden Bay and always need a bolt hole to stay when we visit Nelson.
Very close to amenities and Nelson in general. Quiet, despite my intrepidation that the airport was too close, however planes had the decencey to take off after I had woken up. The surroundinding gardens a real bonus.
Paulina is amazing. Her place is a little gem, the room was super comfy, it‘s quiet but in walking distance to center of Nelson. shrubs happy to provide you with recommendations and other tips.
And the best of all: make sure not to miss out on her breakfast!!!
The restaurant does amazing food, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Loved having a spa bath and loved the friendly service throughout - the cleaners were lovely, the bar and concierge staff. Well run hotel and I'll stay here every time I go to Nelson
Rooms were spacious, well equipped and very clean. Great location for trips off into Nelson and surrounding areas. Des was so welcoming and friendly and really went above and beyond to ensure our trip was smooth and enjoyable.

Overall a fantastic experience, we will be back.
Reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel is in a good location for Nelson & the surrounding areas. Room was a decent size, with a reasonable kitchenette for basic cooking.
