A friendly small town but packed full of different cafes and restaurants.
I know it can get very busy during the peak summer months but late summer seems to be a good time to visit. Busy but not crowded.

The beach was within walking distance and it was a nice sandy very clean beach. There was plenty of free parking for people travelling or those living further away.
You have everything you need all in walking distance, so no need for a car if you are staying locally.
There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes.
Most properties had a sea view, and if you are staying in one of the hotels you will see an amazing sunset.

Orewa is amazing. We used to live nearby.
Orewa is amazing. We used to live nearby. Absolutely a place to stay for any age. Now there's lots of pavement dining and great restaurants and bars. The beach is stunning. Lots of locals and visitors walk up and down the beach. Great for dog-walking, but be aware of when you keep your dog on a lead.

Beautiful surroundings, Spacious gardens and very close to Orewa with a wonderful estuary walk or bike ride, close to beach and plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. It is located on a busy road, but the house is far enough away from it. Just a little busy during peak hours if you choose to leave then, but there is always a gap in the traffic somewhere.
Would definitely recommend.
We were so pleased! The condo was spacious and perfect for my family of three...we all had our own rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The full kitchen was perfect for cooking at home. It's located just across from Orewa beach and a block from the restaurants and grocery stores. There were boogie boards, washer/dryer, wifi...really it had everything and it is perfect for a larger family or even two families as it has two living room areas with large TV. We were just so happy with the accommodations and hope to stay again!
This is an older motel which I love as there are so many new impersonal places one can stay. If you want value for money kindness and lovely staff warm clean facilities with 2-minute access to the Orewa Beach and or an ocean view.
I highly recommend this place. Let's keep NZ older style places. alive and well not taken down so only the few can stay at places that are impersonal and lack value for money.
Basic budget accommodation. Spacious, very clean , comfortable and convenient for our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms clean with ample soft towels and soap and shampoo.
Dereck and Katrina were absolutely amazing hosts.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Always super helpful , friendly and welcoming.
Keep an eye out for Marley and give her my love x
The unit was lovely with everything you need for a short stay. I was extremely impressed with how clean it was. The host was lovely and even brought us some bug spray, fresh milk in fridge and teas and coffees. It is so conveniently situated 2 mins away from main Orewa beach and multiple restaurants and cafes as well as the New World. Would recommend to anyone!!
Quiet location - North Shore and short drive to Orewa. Real resort feeling: singing birds, beautiful flowers, hotel surrounded by gorgeous trees. Room with 2 queen beds was spacious and beautiful view to golf course was added bonus. Complimentary tea/coffee, microwave oven. Play golf if you have time, clubs are available for hire
We’ve been here twice now and it’s always the scenery and quietness that will keep taking us back. Always lovely to get out of Auckland. Dellis and Selwyn are such wonderful host. We will always come back when we can and when needing time away from the kids lol. Nga mihi 🫶🏽
Location is fantastic. A short walk into the centre of Orewa and only a minute to the beach. Hotel was quiet, check-in quick and keyless entry to room was a massive bonus! Sheets on the beds nice and soft. Good variety of TV services to use, including Netflix.
How lucky we are that our return to traveling starts with the Edgewater. We used public transport. Just a 10 min walk from the Orewa shops. Beautiful beach for strolling. Warm beds and a complete kitchen topped off a pleasant stay.
Great place to stay when travelling from Far North to Akld where we caught. long haul flight. We always enjoy staying at the Beachcomber which is conveniently located for beach walks and restaurants, cafes in central Orewa.
The property offered both morning and afternoon outdoor seating areas. Although it was on the main highway in Orewa, it was almost completely soundproof. It was only a two-minute walk around the corner to the beach.
Great apartment, clean with kitchenette which was useful. A great central position in Orewa. we enjoyed the pools, the friendliness of everybody, the carpark included in the price (safe and secure)
Joe, was very helpful and friendly

I hope she is due for a pay rise soon because she deserves it.i highly recommend orewa beach Comer motel
The staff are friendly and helpful, always welcoming and pleasant. We stay here each month when in Orewa and wouldn't change it. This place is absolutely a brilliant place to stay.
Very nice garden, good location to go to the airport by car. Orewa beach is very close. Small room is small indeed but o.k. Lager room offers lots of space
