Great location, facilities mostly worked fine and the fireplace was perfect for when we sat down to watch a movie together. George was friendly and helped us out with any questions we had, along with their dogs and cats which made us feel very welcome! It was also nice to have some breakfast choices when we got there.

The location was amazing, such gorgeous view. New Zealand was a bit colder than we expected in March (coming from Australia) but we had firewood so we were so cosy in the cure cottage. The donkeys were so friendly, as was our host Jo. The cottage has been renovated well and the bathroom was brand new so we had all the right comforts. Highly reccomend!

Such a beautiful location and the cottage is very well set up. Everything that you need and the interior design is gorgeous . Lovely spot to sit in the sun and enjoy the views but also close to the walks and vineyards

It's on the way to the beaches - Aramoana and Blackhead etc.
The river road is a nice drive which had very little traffic. The main road had holiday traffic mixed with trucks.
Beautiful countryside. Well worth leaving the main road to explore.
