A beautiful lodge near a lovely lake. The accomodation was exceptional. Amazing views, comfortable beds and a superbly styled dining, lounge area (with fireplace) and deck overlooking the lake. The highlight (apart from all this!) was probably the breakfast. A range of fresh fruit and cereals, yoghurt and jams with a cooked breakfast of your choice. All beautifully presented. Leigh and Mike and their gorgeous little poodle were very accomodating hosts. Only a short drive from town, we were thrilled with our choice for exploring the Rotorua area.

The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. While the breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, it did offer free breakfast for children accompanying a paying adult. The food selection was good.
