Great location in National Park, you need to have car as it is quite far from shops and restaurants. Nice staff and quite good facilities - hot tube was simply great! It is also possible to order simple breakfast.

The room we were in was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was getting a bit old (the toilet was leaking). It is good enough for a few nights' stay, and the hostel is well located for hiking in the Tongariro National Park. They offer shuttle services for the Tongariro crossing. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This was the perfect location to overnight after checking out the local mountain drives and ski-resorts. Very cute railway station and a very special shout-out to the staff at the National Park Hotel (Thanks for putting on all of that 70's content...AND fire-lighting).
