We stayed here the night before driving to Milford Sound for a 9am cruise with the aim of avoiding the crowds. Very happy with our choice. We had a leisurely day at Milford as we were booked at Te Anua Downs for 2 nights. Miles better than driving all the way from Queenstown and back in one day! Could easily have stayed for longer but we only had 9 days for all of NZ

Comfortable facilities.
Comfortable facilities. Close enough to Te Anau to do trips into. We stayed in Te Anau Downs then drove back to Te Anau for the glowworn cruise, then in the morning on our way to queenstown we detoured back to Te Anau and went to the bird sanctuary.
