We had an amazing view of Lake Te Anau from our room. Could watch the changing weather as it moved over the lake. Easy to get into Te Anau town centre from Radfords on the Lake. Parking for our room was directly outside the room. Most appreciated as we both use walking sticks.

Great place to enjoy the Great walks of New Zealand.
We did the Keplar track for 3 days and it was amazing. The scenery is breath taking and we got some outstanding whether. It even snowed on our hike which wasn't really expected for the time of year. The Huts were all clean and tidy and the Hutt Wardens do such a great job of keeping everyone informed and safe. Would recommend this Hike. It was also nice to come back and stay at a comfortable and reasonably priced place. Great Hot showers and comfortable rooms. We will be back.

People often only go to Te Anau just to take the Milford Sound tour. There is so much for to see and do! It really is a place to just relax.
Whether it's late night strolls to the souvenir stores or restaurants or taking walks along the amazing lake views that aren't crowded by other people.
If you ever want to try out cycling, Te Anau is the place to do it. Not much traffic and the price for bike hire is cheaper than Queenstown.
If you're in on a Sunday, go visit The Life Church that. A loving warm and friendly community over there.
When it comes to food, I found food shopping, Chinese food and other restaurant prices were cheaper than Queenstown. Oh, and souvenirs are also cheaper here too.

I just love the relaxed surroundings of Te Anau, it's one of my favorites destinations for a few'nights-getaway..there is lots to do and if you're adventurous you can do even more! Amazing nature, the lake is just stunning, township is not too big but has all you could want/need. Brilliant food places...love The Ranche and the Moose. Redcliff restaurant and bar is a unexpected find, quaint and quirky but great food and staff. Overall, Te Anau is a beautiful destination if you're looking for somewhere not too touristy (at least, it doesn't feel that way)

This is a nice location which has everything.
This is a nice location which has everything. The town centre has everything that you would need. Friendly people in shops and businesses. Great range of different restaurants. Excellent tourist attractions. Very convenient to Milford Sound - 2 hours through stunning countryside. A lot better to travel from Te Anau to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound than to come from Queenstown - 4 hours travel
The best place we found to eat and just chill at was Red Cliff Bar and Restaurant - friendly staff, exceptional food and first rate service.
A couple of must do's are: Wings and Water (float plane) with Ivan and Cruise Te Anau with Peter. Both locals, highly entertaining and knowledgeable.

This is a great, very small town that makes a great stay to see the Fiordlands. Stay at a location with a view of the lake. Activities from here are a great choice. The lake and mountains are beautiful and eat at the Ranch, best place we ate on both islands.

A lovely place and central to attractions with easy access to Doubtful Sound. Really glad we missed out on Milford Sound as the trip to Doubtful was amazing. Did the Glow Worms tour which was wonderful.
Got caught out with ZERO available hotels across Queenstown to Te Anau. Recommend all travellers either hire a motorhome or book well in advance for touring NZ in summer. Stayed one night in our car and used a non-powered site just to use the toilets and showers next morning. Rained all night so it was a fairly miserable evening (but still kind of enjoyable and places life in perspective )
Motel looks & feels new, located at Te Anau lake front. View from unit 11 (upper level) was absolutely fabulous! The 2 bedroom unit can easily accomodate 5 based on bedding configuration, shared area is spacious, unit was super clean & has a kitchehette. Check in was efficient. Parking is plentily available as the ground is also used for camping & motor vans
The apartment in Te Anau completely met our travel needs for our group. The outside space was lovely - could sit outside and kick a ball around or have a glass of wine. Plenty of room in the unit and nice to have a closed off bedroom for our son. The kitchen was small but we were able to prepare food there when needed. Staff was very friendly and helpful!
I highly recommend this place. Room was bright and cozy with comfortable bed. Room has shared bathroom but you will only share it with one more room. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Hotel has amazing view on Te Anau Lake located across the street. All restaurants and shops are just couple steps from this place.
Excellent breakfast and dinner facilities. Clean and well-organised laundry facilities. In the heart of Te Anau and very close to the information centre, which is the departure spot for many great attractions. The staff were very friendly and accommodating despite the Covid restrictions.
The motel is situated very conveniently to everything in Te Anau. It's just a short drive to one of the major attractions in the area, the starting point for Doubtful Sound and the Te Any glow worm caves. It's also a good spot for taking a day trip to Milford Sound.
It’s right next to the lake Te Anau and very close to the town center where you can find grocery stores, food, and shops. It’s such a peaceful hostel and it offers nice outdoor dining area. Loved its chill atmosphere. Would come back if I visit Te Anau again.
Very clean and comfortable stay in Te Anau. Our room had everything you could need & lovely bath products too! It was lovely stroll by the lake into town for breakfast/lunch/dinner! Favourite part was the little motel greeter - Molly 😊
Its nice location - just across the road from lake. It was exactly the same how it is advertised on booking.com. Te Anau is a small town and the property is very near to shops and restaurants. Overall value for money.
Apt was very spacious with great outdoor space. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Also loved the muesli and shortbread cookies that were provided :) wonderful stay!! Short drive to city center of Te Anau.
If the year were 1997 then I am sure this would be the best in hotel luxury. With that in mind, the hotel provides you with all the basics you will need - laundry facility, small gym, in-house cafe etc.
The bedroom was super comfortable and very nicely furnished. It was like being in a boutique hotel with the warmth welcome of a bed and breakfast :) definitely recommend the place :)
A lovely motel. Proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay at this motel the next occasion I am visiting Te Anau. A lovely experience!
Nice room that was central to Te Anau and the lake side so was nice for a walk. Comfy beds, clean room and the owners are kind and helpful. Great place!
the motel was exceptionally clean and the kitchenette had a larger than typical hotel refrigerator, toaster, plates and cutlery. very comfortable stay.
