I have found a new favourite holiday destination in Te Mahia Bay Resort! The location was amazing set on a private beach, the owners very helpful and we were in one of the rooms that is over a 100 years old but has been modernised, but still keeps some of its yesteryear charm, so very unique and special. And these particular units in the resort are truely waterfront, which was a lovely surprise. We tramped in from Anakiwa on a section of the Queen Charlotte Track for three nights, the restaurant was closed for the season but we had access to a full kitchen so just took in all we needed. We just loved it all!

We arrived late when it was dark and cold they were so nice and welcoming. They gave us fresh baked banana muffins and walked over to show us where we’re staying which they had cozy and warm.
