Beautiful dinner -hugely improved. shame the waitress was chewing gum. We stayed in a studio instead of a chalet this time and it was very nice, had a bath and very comfortable bed and was handy to the restaurant.

After flying into Auckland, the Pukekhoe Motel is a short 30min drive south & the motel/hotel prices are a lot cheaper in Pukekhoe than Auckland. The Pukekhoe area is a semi-rural town that has all the Major Shops, cafes, hotels etc. Pukekhoe Motel is an extremely well maintained & spotlessly clean establishment & has the added bonus of a Coles Supermarket across the road. The wife & I stayed in a One Bedroom Unit, fully self contained. If you are heading south out of Auckland or are coming to Pukekhoe for the Races get on a this "Favourite", you'll struggle to beat this set up.
Offering accommodation with satellite TV and cooking facilities, Aveda Motor Lodge is 5 minutes’ drive from Pukekohe Park and Counties Racing Club.

Everything about this property is over and above and well worth the pleasant drive from the main motorway. From the view and birdlife to the exceptional, and thoughtful level of detail in the kitchen…like a butter dish, salt and pepper, oil! Books, games, DVD player with full range of movies. Super comfortable and simply beautiful!
Connemara Country Lodge features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Awhitu. This bed and breakfast offers accommodation with a balcony.

Such a lovely place with the best view and, even more important, with the best hosts. We felt more than welcomed from the very beginning and enjoyed a lovely evening with delicious home cooked food and yummy drinks. Thanks a lot!

We love Rusty the friendly cuddly lab. We enjoyed the breakfast things… we didn’t expect that.
Far enough away from the road to be peaceful and lovely rural outlook.

if you enjoy a little moment in time in old fashion Nz Aotearoa this is the town to be in. Close to the sea like moments away from you, argriculture hub 5 mins to strawberry farms - history surrounding you not far to the ligthhouse on the manuakay harbour or to enjoy a stream train ride at glenbrook vintage railway. you can make your own greenstone pendant at the west coast jade and cabbage tree cottage. evan got a drop and go laundry service . personally i hung out at the Kentish Hotel bult by edward constable in 1853. from the outside balcony you can see the waiuku estuary where the large ships and scow once moored alongside the wharf. lovely people in the town. the pub downstairs on friday saturday night always had laughter and singing happening. (free entertainment) and there resturant serves good food and very roomy. and most important only 30min to get to akld central give or take a traffic jam at peak travelling time.

Waiuku is a growing town ideal for all walks of life, families, couples, singles, young and old. Its small enough to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the quiet country town, allowing you to soak up all its incredible history. If you are staying within the township you will find everything is within walking distance. Wonderful friendly people. Great west coast beach for nice long walks. Not to forget the vast choice of fine dining, cafes, fast foods and great shopping.

Do not expect to find anything open at 5am in the morning for a coffee 😂... but the bakery on Queen Street had lovely, yummy sandwhiches and the rest of the food looked really good. Lovely historical place to visit.
Totally blown away by our stay here! Unique & stunning, we were in what seemed like a brand new unit. View that you just can’t get enough of. Friendly welcoming staff & exceptional value. After reading the mixed reviews my expectations were not that high. The buggy’s mean that there is peace and quiet without cars ruining it, the driver who collected us was awesome and the rest of the weekend we just walked which helped burn off the delicious meals - thanks Castaways for a great getaway!
We stayed in 2 bedroom chalet and the view from the hotel room was amazing. we were able to park our car in front of the room, so didn’t have the problems that were raised by other people. The hotel is situated at the top of the hill and all room types are detached which gives a sense of isolation and privacy. We did feel 2 small tremors in our stay there, which did disrupt our sleep making us feel anxious but as soon as i realised its common in NZ i slept pretty well.
Great place for a getaway. It has an awesome on-site Day-Spa and restaurant. Lovely quiet location, heaps to do in surrounding areas. Waiuku is 5-10mins up the road and has everything you need including New World, cafes etc.
The Lady manager is a no nonsense woman whom I have much respect for. She is an asset to the Kentish Hotel. I will stay there in future because I am always met with good vibes, hassel free reservations and a kind smile 😃
An old hotel with bar and Friday night jazz group, adequate for what we needed, better than I expected. Shared toilet old but OK. automatic lights came on at night. Good atmosphere in bar. helpful staff
The location is beautiful, the beach and cliffs are breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and warm. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a but variety of food. Just a short drive into Waiuku.
Location out in the country got some beautiful views traveling in and out of Waiuku. Fresh air and the quietness. Large lounge area plenty seating for a good size family. Sky TV thank you 🙏
The beautiful view of the ocean from the villa. Nice restaurant and it’s only one hour to the Auckland airport. The villa had everything you need including full laundry facility.
The view but that is all. I was very disappointed with my stay here. The place was nothing like the photos on the website.I feel very deceived by this hotel.
