We throughly enjoyed our stay at the The Orchard; the hosts Maggie and Chris were extremely welcoming and the unit itself was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was great and the bonus tour of the orchard was fantastic. We now have an appreciation of avocado growers - and can now identify the different types of avocados we see in the supermarket!!

This farmstay was perfect for a cosy, picturesque short-term stay. We'd definitely stay here again. I recommend it for couples or individuals looking for a relaxing place that's simple yet tastefully decorated to capture that cottage look.
Hosts were friendly and responsive to messages. View was stunning. Bed was super comfy, room was surprisingly warm (wore summer sleepwear despite it being autumn) and the heater worked well. If more food space is needed, kitchen bench folds out and the towel stand holds it up at the right height. Outdoor bath was a treat. Bit of car noise during the day as expected but it's quiet at night.
Unless you bring a portable gas cooker, you may buy food out a lot because there's no heating facilities for cooking. If it rained, it'd be less pleasant because the outdoor dining is not sheltered and there's only one chair inside. These aren't negatives because this info is stated/shown in the accommodation description/photos, but they are things to consider if choosing this place to stay.

A true little slice of paradise. It was our favourite stay in 3 weeks of b&b hopping across both islands. The accommodation (we stayed in both the main cabin and the smaller one across two nights) is faultless, sparkling clean, comfortable and cosy. The hospitality from M&R is second to none! This was just a lovely place in the country, handy for visiting friends and family in the city and having a break at the same time. Omokoroa within a short driving distance has all the restaurants and shops you could want as well as a lovely beach environment. Wonderful views were everywhere to be had!

It was handy to to other towns eg Te Puna Bethleham and Tauranga yet was so relaxing!! Enjoyed the cafes particularly The Black Sheep for dinner which was very close!!
There are still lots of places to explore next time!!!

The location is fantastic if you want to be in the country as it's only about a 20 min drive to Tauranga, the gardens were beautiful and the spa sealed the deal for us.
Kitchen was well appointed and food was quality brands.
Beds were comfortable and the whole place was really clean

A pretty rural house and garden within a working horticulture farm. Accommodation is very comfortable and welcoming. We would highly recommend Three Gables in every way if you wish to be in the country yet not too far from the main centers such as Tauranga and The Mount. We made simple meals easily in the well equipped kitchen from fresh fish bought at the local.
