An enchanting Arabic jewel, Muscat was already an important port in the 1st century. With a strict building code that imposes respect to heights and styles, the city has developed a harmonized and traditional look that makes it irresistible. Don’t miss the traditional Muttrah Souq marketplace, considered one of the best in the region.
The city is actually composed of three towns: Muscat is the walled Old Town where royal palaces are located; Muttrah includes the old and new harbours and the Corniche seafront; and Ruwi is the commercial and diplomatic area. Check out the Muscat hotels map on Booking.com and choose your preferred location!
The city is surrounded by the Western Al Hajar Mountains, and the crystalline waters and sandy beaches of the Arabian Sea. Staying in a Muscat hotel on the beach is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Oman views.
The modern and elegant Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is one of the largest in the world. Don’t miss the twin forts of Al Jalali and Al Mirani, and the Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace.

Muscat is an amazing place to stay. Very calm people very relaxing place.. Theres so much peace in there. I love the behaviour of the people itself. Even if you are in a public places you cant hear any loud noises. I am very impressed. Its very good for my mental health. Very friendly locals. I feel completely safe.

Muscat and Oman in general is a lovely destination for outdoorsy people. Mountains and desert trips are a must. Also the coastal area is nice and Mutra is a nice area where the Royal palace and fort is. Would recommend a trip to the desert, Wadi Bani and Nizwa and Jabreen Fort. Grand mosque is lovely to see. Beaches are OK, but not really touristy. People are so friendly and welcoming. It is not easy to get around Muscat if you are walking - it is impossible, you have to get taxis or hire a car.

Best you purchase a local sim card with local Omani phone number that can only be purchased at the airport.
Local food is cheap but transport can be expensive.
Hotels are good value
Oman focus more on culture and tradition whilst up-grading most infrastructure and does not have the "show off" atmosphere of UAE

Obviously the weather is a plus at this time of year.
Obviously the weather is a plus at this time of year. Warm, but not too hot. The pole are very nice and very welcoming with a genuine interest in showing off their city and country.
There are plenty of sights that are worth a visit, be it the Grand Mosque, the National Museum, the Royal Opera House or the Mutrah Souq. You will either need a car or a taxi to get you around as the city is very spread out.
It is modern and clean, but without the high-rise buildings of the UAE and Qatar. It has a lot of charm with lots to explore both in and out of the city. We went to Nizwa for the day which was great as was the Wadi Sham and Bimmah Sinkhole on another day. We spent a week in Muscat and that covered most things to see, though had we been a bit more mobile (my wife has mobility difficulties) we would probably have ventured on more of the physical outings such as snorkelling and diving or hiking.

We stayed 6 nights in Muscat and did day trips up to 300kms (wadi shab).
Our kids (2 teenagers + 7 years old) enjoyed trails we did in Mutrah et Sidab. They loved wadi walk.
We had a good experience at Sultan Qaboos grand mosque, it's a quite quick visit.
Good time at souk Mutrah and a long the corniche, the road is busy but it's ok.

The people of Muscat are very friendly.
The people of Muscat are very friendly. You respect them, and they respect you.
Several interesting places and buildings to visit, and they have a very interesting history.
It is cheap to use taxi, but my advice is to download the Otaxi app (here you will know the exact price). If you grab a taxi from the street, they start with a much higher price, and you will have to bargain.
The beaches are great, and it is OK for women to wear bikini at the beach, but you don`t wear it outside. And you also do your sunbathing a little bit away from local families that are on the beach. You don`t bather them, they don`t bather you.
Good staff at reception
Lady from tanzania was very helpful. I think her name is najma
Guy taking suitcase to rooms also very good manners.
Nice breakfast. Good to see that the chef making omelette is himself taking the omlettes to the table of the client - very good. Guy at the entrance at the restaurant also very courteous . He also made my tea. I travel a lot and i rarely see this service level
Keep it up guys. You are not the largest hotel in Oman but definitely on with the best service level
Thx
Easy approach by car, enough parking place always. Nice hotel hall, simply check-in. Our room was at the 3rd floor, it is the best because the pool and the gym. We were very happy with this large and clear pool, sunbeds and beach towels. So it was perfect stay.
Room facilities was really good, kettle, fridge, coffee and tea. Kingsize bed was a surprize. Water pression was the best in Oman. Rich buffet breakfast for every type of travellers.
Good price for 3 nights.
I liked the view, the activities near the beach and the animals there. The staff did their best to make sure I am satisfied regarding food options, room services, and tours. The food is labelled in a way to know the allergens. The resort sent me WhatsApp messages about the different facilities, which made it easier for me to know them.
The tourism Omani guide (I don't know his name) was super helpful, down-to-earth and kind. I would like to thank him a lot.
Welcoming staff. Quiet place. Reasonable price at the time of booking. Spacious room and toilet.. Near airport. Availability of free parking. The view from the room
Note: hotel might be a bit distant from shopping outlets and require a minimum of 5 minutes driving to reach a variety of shops. However, there is a nearby gasoline station with a small food shop, reachable at walking distance.
this is the hotel with probably the best breakfast we had in our life (and we have seen lots of hotels). It has 2 great pools, a Spa and sports facilities. The staff is super friendly, special shout-out to Monica, Evan and Daniel who hosted us for the Spanish evening. The food quality is that of an average European brasserie; but the portions are big like all portions you get in Oman.
Everything was exceptional 👌
Staff were very helpful and friendly 🙂
Hotel was quiet and clean.
It's kind a far from the city centre but i consider this as advantage.
Once i reach there after a long way trip, the room was not ready, the omani lady (receptionist) offered me an upgarde to suite, which made me to decide staying more nights in this lovely hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The best value for money so far in all the hotels and apartments we have checked in. It's cheap BUT a very nice place to stay. It is comfortable and cozy, it has a complete kitchen, dining area, and a small receiving area with a TV. It is only a 1 bedroom, and clean bathroom unit, but it is perfect for us as a family.
I wanted to enjoy some quiet days at the beach after a tour of Oman and this hotel was the right choice. Beautiful private beach and clean water was exactly what I was looking for.
Plus comfortable bed, clean room, nice swimming pool and very good breakfast. The bar by the pool offered a good menu for a quick lunch
Excellent staff in particular David Fernandez and his colleague who couldn't do enough for you. I had both early and late check in/outs. Location was perfect next to all the restaurants and the beach.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and excellent values as everywhere else nearby was a 5 star hotel.
The hotel is located close to the airport and to city centre. The breakfast was so good,so many varities. The staff is very polite and welcoming. The reception personnel goes extra mile to exceed the expectation. I would like to point out Hamed and Mounir for their impeccable service with a smile.
The hotel building is amazing and quite beautiful especially the restaurant and the view is magnificent. The room and the bathroom were big enough and clean. The food at the seafood restaurant very tasty.
The staff is friendly. The location is near the airport and so little far from the city
I had an 8 hour layover at night time and booked this last minute as I had another flight early and this was perfect! The room was like a 5 star hotel with all amenities, shampoo/conditioner, hairdryer etc ! Very comfortable beds and pillows all crisp white sheets! Highly recommend!
I stay at this hotel every time I travel to Oman. It is my favourite choice in this city. In addition, I communicate with the hotel for early check-in, or late check-out. The hotel makes the room available as soon as possible.
i have just remember 1note during covid-19
1- in oman all city close at 8 o’clock and hotel have get service restaurant and coffee bar 24/24 for all guessing i think so and different by city
