Staff were really helpful and despite little english made themselves understood. Not much in the village but the boat trip is really worth while. ALso enjoyed watching the monkeys in the trees while sitting by the pool.
Boca Chica is beautiful. The mountains and the beaches are breath taking. Undeveloped and undiscovered, go now, before it changes. Not a lot of services in Boca Chica itself but several upscale hotels with all the amenities. A car is useful, but necessary, as the resorts are all-inclusive. The road from Santiago to Boca Chica is an excellent 100kph highway and, bonus, the road right down to Boca Chica shore is now paved. It is 19km, but beautifully paved now.

Beautiful views from all bungalows and the restaurant!
Beautiful views from all bungalows and the restaurant! The staff members were very attentive and the food at the restaurant was very good! There are a lot of stairs so pack light and if you can’t, no worries-they will take care of you! We will definitely go back !

Boca Chica is yet an untapped tourist destination in Panama.
Boca Chica is yet an untapped tourist destination in Panama. It is the perfect launching point to explore incredibly beautiful islands and to find some peace and quiet on the pacific. Definitely take a boat tour to the surrounding islands if you stay on the mainland, and hop on a kayak if you are so inclined!

I am glad I had a car, so I could explore the area. I didn't care for the 3 island tour because there were too many people and loud music. Not a relaxing day on remote islands that I was hoping for. The fishermen tourists were obnoxious, but respectful. The locals and expats were wonderful! Loved the lobster and seafood. It was fun exploring other properties such as the Tiki bar and getting caught in short downpours while undercover!

Amazing nature, a lovely quiet place to use as a base to visit the islands in the Gulf of Chiriqui. The village is small and quiet (especially in off-season when we went). In whaling season, you can also see whales in the Gulf. There are a couple of restaurants around - my favorite was a local woman who runs the restaurant out of her house, cooking good sea-food for very good prices.

You have to use the boat to get to the real beach, but the beaches on nearby islands are amazing. They are within 10-40 minutes by boat ride. Just ask in Boca Chica and locals will take you there or go directly from the hotel but that will cost you more.
It was truly a wonderful stay. The island is the best place on earth to recharge and disconnect, everything is beautiful (the nature itself but the design of the hotel as well!) and I have never seen such a caring and professional staff. The food is incredible too (fresh, high quality and creative - we are French and Italien so have a bit of high standards in this respect) and they are always happy to make adjustments to comply with your dietary restrictions. Thanks again to the team who made our stay an amazing experience.
Literally everything was awesome - the tranquility of the place, the solitude of the little beach on property…it felt like home - cozy, relaxing and with the best attitude from the personnel.
The guys set us up with the fishing trip (amazing) and then were so nice to cook the dinner for us with our catch of the day.
Highly recommended to everyone who wants to find out what the gem Boca Chica is!
The property is well located, nice facilities with all you need for your stay. Very quiet, in the nature with great view and 10 minutes to the harbour of Boca Chica for boat tours and beaches.
Umberto is a great host, whatever you need he’s there but you have full privacy and you can enjoy your time in the house. You can use the pool in the villa as well.
This house is beautifully set on top of the hill with beach access. Raphael and Eda were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Raphael offered us his tuna fish from his fishing trip for us to barbecue. Their place is immaculate and a dream gateway. Raphael’s restaurant recommendations were also excellent.
The Villa is spacious and modern, it offers beautiful views of the forrest and a little of the Boca Chica bay. You get an amazing feel for Boca Bravo island and the Howler Monkeys are right next to the villa. It is very well equipped with all the kitchen utilities needed to cook for a large group.
Had a wonderful stay here! Beautiful quiet place with a stunning view of the bay. Spacious rooms. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast (which could also easily be your lunch) was very tasty. Property very close to Boca Chica town. Definitely recommended!
The breakfast was good and adequate. Hotel staff was helpful and for $10 did our weeks worth of laundry. Didn't use the pool but he deck area is where breakfast is served and is very clean. You can look off into the jungle/forest while you eat or lounge around the pool.
A gorgeous house high up on a hill with incredible views of the ocean and nearby islands. The hosts are lovely and the breakfast is fantastic. We really enjoyed the pool - you can stare at the ocean for hours!
Dinner service is very courteous. The dishes are all really tasty and the selection on the menu is very well designed. Even the prices are moderate for this luxurious hotel. That was a great experience.
The island is excellent. You have to be in moderately ok shape to enjoy it and get around. I saw wild monkeys every time I left the hotel. The hosts were very kind and entertaining.
We booked tree nights at Hotel Boca Brava Paradise. Indeed it was paradise. Stunning view you can’t get enough, delicious breakfast and dinner. Thank you guys it was just perfect.
Host, Brad, is super friendly and helped with everything we needed. The hotel is in a stunning location, peaceful and perfect for quiet holiday, but with plenty to do and see.
The hosts were super lovely and helped us further to book some trips in the area of boca chica. The offered breakfast was very good and the coffee outstanding.
