The property is beautiful with a great beach and ocean (great waves!). The grounds/gardens are meticulously cared for and the staff are super attentive! The food was tasty and for all 3 meals and good size portions. A little piece of paradise, very very tranquil and quiet, which is what we were looking! Although about 1.5hr from Tumbes airport, the hotel set up a private transfer that was on time and very comfortable.

We enjoyed our visit very much. Big shout out to the staff for going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. I didn’t experience the kayaking due to timing. The hotel was clean, food was lovely and the bed super comfortable. We Highly recommend this hotel

The best place to eat was at the resort's restaurant.
The best place to eat was at the resort's restaurant. They had a large enough menu that I was comfortable with my choices every lunch and dinner for a week. After one week we would have had to request some specials from the chef to change it up a bit. The area is famous for its chifles, which was perfect and fresh every day. Getting around was not easy, so we only left the property twice in the week. Máncora is a good destination for accessories shopping and ok for restaurants. Canoas de Punta Sal is very small with two pharmacies and a supermarket and not much more. If one likes nature and does not need to have to go to town every day, this place is perfect. It is not for going to museums and shopping or to bars and discos. We relaxed and came back refreshed. I also forgot to mention in my previous review of the Punta del Norte Bungalows that we got an automatic upgrade when we arrived.

Quiet, calm sandy beach.
Quiet, calm sandy beach. Not too crowded, quiet and great for scenery pictures.
Not easy to get there though, nor to get around to other beaches or towns if you don't have a car or a motorcycle.
There is a lack of other activities apart from the beach, no community life present, most houses are for rent and are empty for the most part.
Some restaurants are open but are expensive, it is cheaper to buy your supplies and cook.

It took us about 1h 20 ‘ to get there from Tumbes airport.
It took us about 1h 20 ‘ to get there from Tumbes airport. Nice place , well maintained, the green areas are beautiful. The staff is very helpful and willing to solve any inconvenience if something rise up . The beach in front of the hotel has rocks so you have to walk a little to find a beach to swim. Food is fine would be better if they include more variety. The rooms are clean. If you are the person who like to go out from your hotel to find a restaurant or bar this is not the place because there is nothing much around.
Overall is fair hotel.

The location is great, it has an amazing view from apartment...
The location is great, it has an amazing view from apartment 105 having the ocean just there. the sunset is incredible and the most important thing was the air conditioner which is very important to have it when is too hot out there. The apartment has everything you need for cooking, barbecue, etc. The pool is big enough if it is not many people around. We were lucky to enjoy the pool by ourselves plus the ocean is just 30 seconds walking distance.

The beach is lovely, has a real back to nature feel.
The beach is lovely, has a real back to nature feel. The hotel we stayed at- Hotel Smiling crab was dangerous and the management very poor. We do not recommend staying there. (In saying that the waiter/cook and cleaning staff were very nice)There are other hotels to choose from.

Spent 5 nights, 4 days with my wife relaxing after an extensive trip around Peru exploring the lakes, mountains and jungle of this amazing country. Looking for a few days of downtime and relaxation on the beach. Baja Canoas was the perfect spot. Lovely clean accommodation on the beach, with the mesmerising and relaxing sound of the sea as a continuous soundtrack. Great staff , Daniella was fantastic looking after all our needs and requestes. Could not do enought to ,make sure our stay was as comfortable and plesent as possible.
Communication was great prior to arrival and they helped arrange transportation from airport and back. Once we arrived there, all accommodations, pool and beach were great! The staff was very attentive to help with any inquiries throughout the stay. Breakfast which was included, was great (a lot of food) and when we tried their other dishes for lunch and dinner, they were super tasty and good proportions.
Def highly recommend the hotel and if I'm on the area, will stay there again :D
The whole experience was excellent! First, the staff gave great service and created a nice environment where it is easy to relax and enjoy. Second, the hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and tidy. Then, the food was tasty and good quantity per dish. Finally, there were nice activities such as kayak, board games, mini football and bonfire. Overall my family and I had a wonderful experience and I'd recommend this hotel.

We were very happy to see that the bungalow that we booked was very close to the beach. The included breakfast was very good starting off with a fruit plate and a fruit juice. Coffee was also very tasteful, which we could say about everything from the menu. One morning at the restaurant we could see the humpback whales doing jumps not far from the shore. Hotel staff was always willing to help us with a smile.
The property is relatively small, which makes it calmer and more intimate, the service (cleaning, meals...) is really good, Percy (the head of service) is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean as well as the nice beach right in front of it. The food is good (although limited)
The structure was amazing, beautifull. The staff was very kind and ready to help to all our necessities and requests. We stayed in a bungalows and it was wonderful (see sight, I recommend it), the bed was comfy and the room was clean. Definitely worth the price.
The hotel is a beautiful and quiet place. Located right at the beach and vey well keept. The staff is super nice and friendly and they gifted us with an unforgetable and wonderful family holidays. We look forward to come back.
it’s perfectly located in front of the beach. the bungalows are simple but very comfy. OMG!! the Food was another level. I could eat their risotto with rocoto and anticucho octopus every day.
I loved the beachfront bungalows, they were isolated from each bungalow, it gave the ambience of a private beach. The housekeeper and the main guard were very helpful and reachable
It is a boutique hotel with 10 bungalows. Even though it is a sort of rustic, it has a very unique design. The meals, the drinks and the breakfast are spectacular.
I loved the bungalows, they are super confortable and peaceful.
The facilities are very clean and the staff cleans the rooms every day.
The food was good as well.
The hotel was very nice, well decorated and nice. The service was very good!! The food was delicious as well. Also, the view from my bungalow was just perfect.
