Absolutely nothing! the photos you show on your website are one of two things 1, they have been photo shopped or they are all pre covid 19 pandemic. The place, the facilities were in a dilapidated state, with little or no maintenance. When we enter the room it smelt as if the room had not been opened for months. The beach was terrible it is completely coved with broken shells and rocks making it almost impossible to walk on, you have definitely got to wear thick sole shoes. As far as the sea is concerned you can only enter at high tide, early in the morning or about 3pm, even when you wade out about 100 meters the water is still only about 1 meter deep, sadly there is very little sandy bottom it is full of rocks and bags of set concrete, looks like someone want to build a sea wall a long time ago and now these bags are scattered all over the beach and in the sea.

The tranquility of the eco-friendly trees, plants and beach.

The tranquility of the eco-friendly trees, plants and beach. The place was quit. I loved the benefit of several seafood restaurants nearby within walking distance. The local town & fish port just a tricycle ride away. At night the resort is lit up with Christmas decorations which present a wonderful holiday ambiance. The staff was welcoming and pleasant always greeting you in passing.

The island hopping was a fantastic experience the last time we were here. This time the weather did not cooperate. We had excellent food and rooms at Solina Resort which we really like. This was our second time at this resort and we will be going back again. There are many other resorts to choose from at different price ranges. There are small eateries scattered all over Carles and several souvenir shops to browse through.

Not much to see and do in Carles itself but it is a good...

Not much to see and do in Carles itself but it is a good location to start tour to Las islas de gigantes. Although the islands are awesome, they are quite a distance from Carles port, thus the time alloted per island for a day tour was quite short. I would like to come back and maybe stay at least overnight in one of the islands.

We loved the resort and friendly helpful staff.

We loved the resort and friendly helpful staff. The scenery was great. The problem was the long, long wait for the boat ride to do island hopping. We had to leave the hotel at 6:30 a.m. and then sit in the boat for hours until 9:30 for it to fill to capacity. The benches were very hard and the space was too cramped. No bathroom on the boat. The same problem coming back. So a total of 7 hours sitting on the boat and only 3 hours of being able to enjoy the small islands. The islands were not as interesting or unusual as described in the brochure. Not sure it was worth the 4 hr drive from Iloilo to Carles . . . a lot like Palawan but more inconvenience waiting for the boat to leave. By the time we got to the islands it was noon and super hot.
