Rudi & Maria your hosts are extremely welcoming and helpful and make you really feel at home!
The room was just what we needed, and the outside garden & pool were stunning 😍
Every morning Maria cooked us a fantastic breakfast, we even had to leave early on the morning of departure and she had prepared us some delicious sandwiches to take!
All her cooking was very scrumptious, I would stay only for that if I could 😋
They both helped us with everything we needed in Bohol, they recommended us everywhere to go and organised the moped rental for us.
They also organised us to do a boat trip out to some of the islands which was really fantastic!
They really went above and beyond in making sure we had a lovely stay, even waking up at 3am for us when we wanted to go hike a mountain to see the sunrise 🤣
Thank you both Maria & Rudi!
Hope to visit again soon!

The room we stayed in was on the second floor. The AC was working well enough. There was hot water in the bathroom. We had breakfast outside the room in the terrace when it wasn’t raining. The location is quiet and the view is pastoral.

THE GARDEN OF MY DREAMS!!! BEST PLACE EVER!!!
If you are nature&peace lover, you have to stay some days in this wonderful farm!
You will fall in love with THE GOODNESS AND THE KINDNESS OF THE OWNERS, Jomar and Litas, and with the magic reality that they have built.
They are very special and inspiring people and I felt so home, welcomed, safe and in peace that I can’t thanks them enough!!! <3
Also, during my stay I have tried the MOST FLAVORED FRUITS and i have eaten every day the DELICIOUS MEALS that they prepared. Everything is produced inside the farm and it is CERTIFIED ORGANIC. You have definitely to taste their food!!!
Thanks to Jomar’s availability to explain and do tours inside the garden, i have learnt a lot about permaculture, farming, bees and filipino culture. We have also harvested some delicious honey :) He is very knowledgeable and qualified and the tour and evey explanation have been very very interesting.
They also hold courses and events with students about ecological farming and I had the luck to find three students that have been very helpful and friendly.. a big pleasure for me!
About the accommodation, they have tents and double rooms. I slept in a very comfortable, clean and naturally ventilated tent (fully equipped with comfy matt and pillow, blankets and towel) and it has been very quite and relaxing.
The location of the farm is perfect to visit the countryside of Bohol, to enjoy Choccolate hills, waterfalls and sunset/sunrise spots nearby and to discover the most authentic part of the island.
I hope to be back soon!!! :)

This is a Genuine review as other places have offered money to leave a good one. We arrived at Casa Aguelo and were taken back by the scenery, nestled quietly in the middle of the chocolate hills and only 5 minutes to the main view point. The building itself was the cleanest and well built property we’ve stayed in whilst travelling the Philippines and the food was fantastic (The Host went out to buy fresh produce for every meal). The staff were very accommodating and helpful, a small family run business definitely worth visiting. The Host offered to take us on a private tour of the island visiting local sites away from all the tourism. He did so in his own state of the art pick up truck offering to let us take a ride in the back (open air) where we were given a panoramic view as we drove. He spoke to us about the many things Bohol had to offer and let us create our own itinerary. He spent the day from 08:00am until 18:00 showing us the beautiful wildlife, private waterfalls and introducing us the locals and showing us the true bohol. After all this he drove us all the way down to Panglao island over two hours away to our next destination. He was the best company and explained everything and anything he could about the culture and places we’d visited along the way. What we paid was better than reasonable compared to the price of the more commercial tours scattered all over Bohol. We are a family of three backpacking and staying in hostels, beach huts etc and only visited here on a recommendation (so glad we did). I’ve kept in touch with Bernard and will be bringing along other family members next time. Experience the Real Bohol at Casa Aguelo giving a 5* all day long. Sad to leave and wish we’d had more time with the family, two days just wasn’t enough. Thank you Bernard x

They cook every evening for the guests. Its a really good vegan/vegetarian Buffet for a good price. The Hostel is really close to the chocolat hills. You can also hire a scooter there to explore bohol. Water pressure and other facilities working well.
