It was a great place to visit since everything is still new, however, some cultural parts were missing due to the flodding amont of Koreans business around the island. I lobe eating side street vendors to tase the local food and around Newtown Mactan community area, there is a great food court for local food and east to order. The beaches on Mactan Island are pretty much all private and the couple of tiny public beaches are unpleasant. Make sure you book accommodation with its own private beach because otherwise you will have to travel quite far and/or pay to access other sites to use a beach.

For our previous trips to Cebu, we were booked usually at the center of Cebu City. I reay wanted to stay at a Mactan location for this trip. The LapuLapu Shrine is really great, with helpful historical context highlighted. For mere pennies, tourists can ride the public jeepney to the LapuLapu Shrine. We rode a public bus to Moal Boal an had an unforgettable time swimming with sardins. And the Airport is huge and appealing to the senses. I'm glad to have more of Mactan in this trip. I would recommend Sempre to my travelling friends.

They give you free entrance and towel to the Newtown beach which is very nice with a nice restaurant. And hotel has free shuttle for it. Otherwise beach is about 10/15 mins walk. Staff is extremely nice esp the guys at the tour desk. It is a great choice if you have few nights before or after your flight from the islands around. You don’t need to deal with the traffic if Cebu to/from airport. Breakfast choices are also very good.BBeenishGermany

Two "Infinity-pools", private beach, great breakfast, a sense of relaxation everywhere. ALl the staff is super nice and helpful, and they even have a private car that can drive guests to closer places of Mactan. On top of that, John Mark, the concierge was always willing to help us out and was a great help.
