The location, the building, the serenity.Kasztanowy Dwór is located in a historical manor, a place where the officers casino, of a nearby Austro-Hungarian empire's military unit barracks, used to be. Now it is being renovated, and refurbished for the needs of this project. It's simply oozing with history, a lot of work is taking place there, but you get to sleep in a Biedermeier furniture. That was one of my best nights sleep ,I've had in awhile. Surrounded by hundreds of trees and with a really big parking lot. Birds wake you up in the morning. the host is extremely polite, helpful & open minded. The ceilings are high.On the place you can order additional breakfast(with very goad bread). The manor id guarded by , a well-groomed German shepherd named Batman(see photos attached), taken care of by both the staff and the owner,He is kept during the day in his part of the parking lot, but not chained. It has all the hallmarks of a small boutique resort hotel in the mountains & the price for the experience is an absolute bargain. in the hallway the host has left for all guests to take tea, coffee& milk, fresh water with lemon to take and prepare. drink in your rooms, if you wish to. extremely family friendly place.

Picturesque mountain town with beautiful old town, tenement houses in the market square, a lot of green areas, and historical sites.Bear in mind it is hilly so getting from one street to other might involve several ascends and descends.

A historic city with a lovely old town square (currently under some renovation), a Hapsburg era hunting palace and pleasant grounds with castle ruins. Interesting to go back and forth across the bridge to the "twin city" on the Czech side and to have easy access to restaurants and cafes on both sides. It's also an easy day trip to drive to the Wielicka Salt Mine and underground cathedral near Krakow.

Like anywhere there are all sorts of people.
Like anywhere there are all sorts of people. Some are very friendly and interesting while others are cold and lacking culture. Without the language I found it difficult to get people to show their friendlier side. The main road up to the town square has been perpetually worked on for many years.

The small part of the town which i visited (the castle) was very interesting. It was extremely helpful that all the information notices where in English too. Well worth a visit.
The view from the tower was amazing.
Gorgeous, spacious apartment in an old building above a bank. Good shower, excellent wifi, comfy sofa! Brilliant location on the high street - just a few minutes on foot from the castle and the main square, and about 15 minutes from Sportpark, which hosts the Cieszyn parkrun on Saturdays. There's even a music venue in the basement, but it won't disturb you. The Czech railway station is about 25 minutes' walk away. Owner was kind enough to text clear instructions on how to get into the flat.
Quiet location within 15min walk to town center, 24h reception, free parking, small but comfortable room, beautiful views over the mountains, accommodating staff, tasty and versatile breakfast, impeccably clean and tidy room. Couldn't expect more from a 2* hotel
A nice two bedsit set in an old town area of Cieszyn. Excellent location for a walk around Cieszyn / Česky Tešin, close to the centre square with restaurants and cafes. All you need for a local getaways either from Polish or Czech side: simple yet comfy.
for that category and money, the stay at this hotel was satisfactory, the room had a nice view and it was quite clean and quiet. the hotel all in all - meets the expectations you would have from a two star facility
I just wanted a cheap place to stay in cieszyn and that’s what I got
I have used their paddle boats before when visiting the area and if the weather was warmer I would have enjoyed the facilities
Cosy hostel and amazing people. Some things weren’t working in my room, so the owner moved me after one night to private apartment, where it was very pretty and I had a lot of space for myself.
Excellent place to stay at whether you are on the road and need to stop for a night or even for a longer stay. Hotel meets all expectations, highly recommend it and will definitely stay again.
Perfect location, 3 minutes to the main square, beautiful view from both sides of the apartment. Spacious, nicely arranged. Very quiet even though it is located in the city centre.
