It was in a convenient location to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps, which was the sole purpose for our historical trip.
The Hotel was modern, clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
It was my Son’s birthday during his stay and the staff had very kindly prepared a nice birthday message and a celebration cake for him when he returned to his room that day. He was so pleased at the discovery. :)

Poměr cena / kvalita bezkonkurenční. Čisté a moderní zařízení. Děkujeme
Oświęcim is a beautiful town! There are so many places to walk and bike, historical things to see, lots of nature and fresh air. I really enjoyed its peaceful vibe! There's an excellent transit system in town, however, I chose to walk everywhere and soak in the charm of the town. I hope to return again for a longer visit!

This city Oswiecim is historical because of the concentration camps here. You should come here to see history before the current wars in Ukrainian n Russia could rid the area of evidence of the genocides that occurred here back in the 1930-40’s.

While most tourists just come for the day from Krakow to visit the Auschwitz museum ,it is worth considering an overnight stay. The town centre square of Oswiecim is well worth seeing and has several excellent museums especially the Zamek (Castle) and old town hall too. The Mural walk is good to see. There are two good tourist information offices available . Though a pre booked group visit to Auschwitz main camp museum is obligatory, the much larger vast Birkenau site can be visited individually and at lesuire to explore . This can take several hours . Trains are regular to and from Krakow and take just over an hour. The train station is new after being rebuilt . There are good cafes close by .

1-night stay - with Wieliczka Saltmine 1. day, and Auswitz-Birkenau at 2. day.
Tips:
- Wieliczka: Parking is a mess - museum has nearly no parking. Private "parking" (30-40zl). Advice: Use the one, close to the Salt-Tower.
- Auswitz: Parking: Avoid the private parking-places at ALL-COSTS. The new entrance are FAR AWAY from these - with a cheaper and safer parking place, right in front of the entrance. "Line/Guide": Just buy at the museum-site, and a guide is included! (english-etc language-guides are scarce, so buy tickets in good time). And remember water and raincoat-etc.
Eating:
- is expensive... it is tourist-area/towns!
- maybe one can discover a "local" place.

We stayed 3 days in Warsaw and 1 day in Oswiecim to visit Auschwitz Camp. We stayed in a hotel (Imperiale) next to the camp. So, it was very convenient to visit the camp early in the morning until lunch time. Then we drove Warsaw back. Before coming to the camp, we also visited Krakow and we strongly recommend to spare 1 day for Krakow. We felt very sad during the camp visit. But I can say that it was the one of the most professional and instructive visit I have ever had.

My main reason for visiting, like most people I guess, was to see the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp memorials. These were quite confronting but fascinating and an important thing to do I think.
The web site for the memorial is not particularly well structured. I tried for a long time to reserve an entry card, but it would not let me click on the date I wanted. If you are wanting a guided tour then they go quite quickly, but for Auschwitz 1 they do release a number of individual entry (no guide) tickets during the day which you can reserve, or many people just turned up and managed to get an entry. There is a security check like at an airport and you need to have your identity document to enter. Auschwitz 2 is quite different - no security, though you need an entry card, but they don't make it easy to find from camp 1.
For eating I can definitely recommend Portobello restaurant. I ate there the first night and immediately made a reservation for the next night as well.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was the only guest at the hotel last night (I guess hotels in the area don't get many visitors in January) but this didn't dawn on me until the next day. The rooms are old but quant and charming, very quiet and peaceful, very clean, very comfortable. They made a big delicious personalized breakfast for me for free and held my bag for a few hours after I checked out for free. The receptionist spoke English and was very friendly.
a) I arrived at Oswiecim early in the morning. The proprietor, Mrs. Ursula, was very versatile concerning my check-in time. So, formalities and strict time schedules put aside, the room was immediately available and I could settle in at about 10:00-10:30, which let me relax after a all-night travel.
b) Quiet place, withdrawn from Dabrowskiego, Oswiecim's main street. Even so, the market and the closest bus stop are within walking distance.
The hotel staff is lovely, although they don’t speak English, they really try. They let us check in 1 hour earlier without any issues. The room was so cosy and clean and has the cutest decor to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was good. Only small negative was there was instant coffee, but other than that, perfect really. Super close to Auschwitz museum and nearby places to eat. Definitely recommend booking this place for a short visit.
This is the second time that I've stayed here, and I've always been very pleased. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. This was the first time for me to use the restaurant and wished I'd found this gem on my first visit. It's also conveniently located to a supermarket, pharmacy, and post office. There's also a money exchange down the road by the Aldi Supermarket.
We travelled by train from Krakow to stay near the Auschwitch and Birkenau Museum. It was a 45min express train journey from Krakow Glowny and then 15zl/£3 taxi trip to hotel. It was an extremely comfortable and clean hotel, walking distance to some small cafes and restaurants in the small market square. Breakfast had great choice too.
We then travelled by taxi for 20zl or £4 to the museum the following day.
If you visit Auschwitz, this is the hotel you should stay. The room is cozy, clean and warm so you can really feel relaxed. The bathroom is very new and clean, and shower place is very spacious. And the best thing is the host is so kind that you can ask her any questions you would like to know. Also the garage has the automatic gate so security is good.
Everything is really good.
The staff is very polite and friendly.
The food and breakfast is very delicious.
The room is comfortable.
The hotel has a nice garden area for dining.
The location is perfect and peaceful.
Parking places are available for free.
There is a small shop just outside the hotel open from 6 am till 11 pm if you need anything.
It was literally right across the street from the Auschwitz museum, the breakfast was amazing, there's restaurants very close by, and the staff were exceptional (warm, kind, patient). I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else if I returned to Oswiecim.
The hotel is about 5 min walk from the train station. There is a small bakery next to the hotel, where you can buy breakfast. The room is a little bit tiny. Otherwise it is great. If you want to visit the Auschwitz camp, I would recommend you the hotel.
Really great value for your money. The hotel is only about a ten-minute walk from the historical city centre, the rooms are large and comfortable, clean, and the breakfast was great for such a low price. I highly recommend staying here.
Location superb to those who are visiting Auschwitz and Bikernau Museums, just a few meters away from starting point of the visit.
Very quiet hotel, nice sleep.
Breakfast also ok.
Very friendly staff.
Excellent free wifi.
The location is a short walk away from the Auschwitz Museum. There is a lovely little square in front of the apartment with a small playground. You can use the taxi app FREE NOW in Oswiecim. It has OK Wi-Fi.
The hotel is located at 10-minute drive from Auschwitz Museum. The rooms are basic, but clean. Free parking available at the location. The staff is friendly.
