It is a lovely place but be sure to make your reservations ahead. Folks with mobility issues should plan carefully and possibly best to stay down near the water. Beware of closed stores and the only place in town that you don’t require a reservation on a Sunday,( Josephine’s) may be too busy to serve you!

Visiting St. Pierre was a must for me.

Visiting St. Pierre was a must for me. I booked my arrival and departure flights and lodgings before any aspects of my visit to Newfoundland and later Nova Scotia. Its a rare example of a current French overseas possession and is steeped in history. The people are very friendly and acknowledge the efforts it takes to arrive there. I found the high quality of food and wine a great bonus after five days in Newfoundland. A wonderful little place to add to your travels. Use Stevie of Frenchies Tours for all your tourist needs.

Unique place in North America - a French island with 400 years of French culture and history. Very friendly people. You can explore the whole island in a day or two. With another day or two, you can go over to Miquelon and Iles-aux-Marins, too. Out of the way place, but actually easy to get to.
