Sun, Sand and The Strip!
One of the best Algarve resorts, Albufeira has wonderful beaches, turquoise waters and the dramatic, rocky coastline that makes this part of Portugal so special.
Naturally, life here is all about sun, sand and sea. The most popular Albufeira beach is Fisherman’s Beach and you can still see locals bringing in the fishing boats every morning - if you’re up early enough, that is. Tunnel Beach is accessed through an opening in the cliff, and both offer a variety of watersports.
Further up the coast is Albufeira Marina, from where sightseeing boat trips depart, while east of the town is the 9-hole Balaia golf course. On the way here, you pass Arias de Sao João, home to The Strip where the best bars and clubs are found, many staying open until the early hours.
The Old Town of Albufeira is more peaceful, and its cobbled streets house Moorish buildings and some great restaurants serving fresh fish. If you fancy a day trip from Albufeira, the 12th-century remains of Moorish Almoáda Castle in Paderne can be visited for free.
The town is around 45 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport and there is a fantastic range of beach resorts, small B&Bs and Albufeira apartments on Booking.com.

You can split Albufeira into two parts - Centre - focused on turists and Old Town part - for slow wondering around. Centre is located in Old Town, so You can make two steps away from main street and enjoy quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Town beach is beautiful - large and sandy with clean water. Unfortunatelly The Lift (the one who takes You down from streets level to beach level) doesn't work and You have to use over 110 steps to get down to beach. Food prices avarage for holiday resorts - starts from 15Euro for pizza up to 20+Euro for everything else. Super cheap Port wine to buy in Intermarche (from 4,2E). We stay in an area called santa eulalia it's a bit quite than the strip and old town which suits us we can get a bus taxi or the little train into old town for a day. The area also has bus stops which give access to other areas in albufeira and connects to main bus station. Some of our favourite places to go are netos restaurant , Roberto's piri piri restaurant, robieros restaurant, all have good reasonably inexpensive food and friendly staff, the little cafe deli on the corner of the octopus roundabout does lovely snacks and drinks, the coyote bar and the old house bar have friendly staff and good for karaoke next to a very good Chinese restaurant

The hotel Epic Sana has to be one of the best hotels in this area. We found nothing that could be improved, as the accomadation, food, cleanliness was as a 5* should be. All the staff from management to housekeepers were pleasant and always willing to help or assist in anyway. Local facilities in the pretty village of ‘Olhos de Agua’ were adequate, if you are looking for a quiet peaceful holiday(no noisy night clubs or bars) which was heavenly for us. Excellent *****

Hotel Music and Location are all excellent. We would recommend anyone to go to Albufeira for a holiday. Plenty of transport options wherever you want to go there.
