Deva was a nice city to visit. The attractions I enjoyed most were Giardini di Zoe (very scenic garden), the city centre, the Corvins' Castle in Hundeoara, Sarmizegetusa Ulpia Traiana, the "Prislop" monastery and last but not least, Germisara, where we discovered the roman thermal baths and saw the "Clocota" waterfall.
The best restaurant I got to eat at in Deva was Bord 13.

Deva, it's a lovely town (about 60,000 people) very important for the locals and you can see the locals in their ordinary life. Not much to see; lovely restaurants, a nice small fortress, and friendly people.

Deva bears special significance worldwide, to members of the Unitarian-Universalist Church, as its castle dungeon was the scene of our founder, Francis David's imprisonment and death. Freedom of religion, an idea first proclaimed in Europe at the Diet of Torda in 1568, is associated with his name. His life's work is revered throughout the world. So it was most disappointing that references to his legacy have been removed in today's Deva Castle. The multilingual guide posts convey a generic non-story, totally lacking substance. A visitor is left puzzled whether this occurred by ignorance or by design.

Deva is a beautiful city.
Deva is a beautiful city. We got to see the Deva Airshow which was the highpeak of our stay. It's really easy to get to the citadel by foot from the center town. We didn't stay for a long time so we didn't get to do much but we recommend to visit the citadel at night and the aerodrome.

I like very much Deva and it's surroundings.
I like very much Deva and it's surroundings. Very much too see and visit: the fortress and Giardini di Zoe in Banpotoc are a must do!
Very clean and pleasant town, nice city center with great terraces like The Refresh! Have a fresh there, it's nice!
I also recommand Hanu lui Mos Opinca for a great meal and view over the fortress and the city.
Free coffee was a nice touch, staff were friendly and the 6 bed dorm had the wifi and comfortable beds. Kitchen was lovely and easy to use - would be great for longer stays as you can properly food prep and there is a good system for the fridge. Communal space is nice though first night I felt I couldn’t use as other guests who were together spread out across the whole thing 😂 almost a hotel vibe rather than hostel but not in a way that is too uncomfortable - you can tell they really put a lot of effort into the place!
It was our third stay at this hotel and we plan on coming again! The king room is amazing with a great view of the Deva Castle. The rooms is spacious and clean and has a large balcony for taking in the views. The staff is always kind and helpful. The restaurant servers good food with some very tasty local romanian dishes. They did not charge us extra for our dogs which is greatly appreciated.
I had a great experience at this hotel! Despite my late check-in, the staff was accommodating and friendly. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. And the breakfast was delicious - a perfect start to my day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
A comfortable apartment, equipped with everything you need, a generous terrace with a lovely view. I especially appreciate the kindness of the owner and the professional way in which the services are offered. If you are visiting Deva and the surrounding area, I recommend this property.
Amazing studio! A big room with beautiful view of the Deva citadel. A coffee stand outside on the common hallway towards the staircase, also equipped with a microwave. Easy self-checking, confortable bed and nice bathroom. Pretty close to the center, parking on the street.
Very nice accomodation in Deva. We especially enjoyed being able to use some tools from the garage as we had some work to do on our motorcycles. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Parking available with no issues.
Very nice hotel overlooking the city and the mountain, hotel room as it was described on the website, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we couldn't try the food in the local restaurant which we regret.
Place is very quiet, clen, Laura was very nice and helpfull - many thanks for everything. Definitely will remember this place and will return with pleasure every time when will be in the area of Deva.
Excellent location on the road to Deva, brand new hotel, parking on site, very nice and professional staff. If you like to visit Hunedoara, Alba Iulia and Tara Hategului that’s the place to stay !!!
The home is perfectly located on the main pedestrian boulevard in Old Town, yrt set back from the road in a quiet courtyard. It's spacious, decorated beautifully, with a comfortable bed.
The apartment was very cozy and clean. The bathroom was modern and also spotless clean. Definitely we will come back at the Villa Boutique Alina anytime will need to stay in Deva city.
all we liked from Casa Mora, specially the host is amazing friendly, made a great welcome to us and the breakfast was better than in most 5 star hotels I stayed all over the world.
I have been visiting Deva for a decade or more. Sarmis has excellent location for my needs. I like the “old style” of this hotel which date back the communist time
