The house is newly built on two levels, each with separate acccess and each including one living room, one kitchen, 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms. It is well equipped with all you may need to cook or have a barbeque. We appreciated a lot the espresso machine! In the living room upstairs there are a lot of toys and books for kids. The area is quiet. The owner was kind and helpful, answering promptly to our messages on Whatsapp if we needed anything.
All units at Pension Andra's House feature a balcony, bathroom, seating area and wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Some units consist of 2 adjoining bedrooms.

Location was amazing, everything was fine, but the sound of a river passing by was just splendid!

Plenty of attractions around - Maldarasti, ceramic/pottery in Olari-Horezu, Hurezi, Bistrita and Arnota Monastery, hiking... plus easy access to Transalpina, Parang Mountains, monasteries and caves in Gorj County.
Not to mention that all the turistic attractions and the mountain pathways are not crowded at all, comparing with Prahova Valley. Highly recommend this particular region of Romania!

We didn't spend much time in the city itself, but it's an excellent location close to some natural monuments and hiking routes. The nearby Vârful lui Roman is astonishing, reaching the top will provide a breathtaking view. Also, 1 hour away by car is the Peștera Muierii, a must see natural monument. While you are in the city, you need to stop at the Necci restaurant, a very lively location with excellent food and great atmosphere.

The monastery outside town, a world heritage site, is absolutely fabulous. We also went to visit Arnota Monastery up in the mountains and were received by a local nun who could not do enough for us. Horezu is a very special destination in a beautiful rural setting.
The hotel is attached to the han (restaurant) by the bus station. Despite that, it's very quiet. Getting breakfast is simply a matter of going to the restaurant in the morning and choosing what you want off the menu. It is a good place for an overnight stay before or after visiting the Horezi monastery. There is also and old church (Biserica Veche) a short walk away that is worth having a look at. Some of the staff speak a little bit of English, so we had no problems despite only having 3 words of Romanian between us.
While we had a minor incident, we found help asap. An exceptional accommodation in Horezu, no way you can find better. Hotel is brand new so of course it was perfectly clean. Pool is wonderful and clean.
PS: Horezu was surprisingly great, an interesting turistic place, definitely wasn't expecting this cleanliness.
It was lovely having access to a pool in the heat. It was a relaxing place to stay so a good place to take a couple of days out of a hectic schedule. The jam at breakfast was the most delicious we tasted in Romania. Horezu is an interesting area with a gorge and caves to explore, as well as traditional ceramics.
Great host. All spaces are clean an very nice. Bathroom not too far from the four star hotel standards. Towels perfect. Rooms fitted in the local rustic style. Good mattress with clean, fine sheets. Perfect view from the terrace, ideal place to sip your morning coffee, offered by our host.
Excelent location. The staff was understanding granting all the requests we had as for example in regards to accomodation and room orientation.
Really close to Horezu's famous pottery shops and other interesting worth visiting locations towards which the staff kindly directed us
Casa Palosi is beautiful place, sparkling clean. The bed was very comfortable and the host is super nice. The thing that makes us disappointed is that, because our trip plan we couldn’t stay there more than one night.
Highly recommend.
- huge playing ground for kids (and adults :) )
- peaceful location
- excellent traditional food, not fancy but great taste
- tourist attraction within reach by car
- flexible host
- great value for 3 stars hotel
Great place to stay!
Bigger than expected, brand new facilities, very tidy and clean!
There is on-premises parking, some great dining options around and it is 3 minutes by car from the center of Horzu!
The location was absolutely stunning. There's a chance to meet some very cool people. Surrounding mountains are wonderous. The four dogs that lived on site were super friendly and cute.
