Vandrarhemmet Stranden, hotel in Mora

Located in Mora, 40 km from Dalhalla Amphitheatre, Vandrarhemmet Stranden provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

I liked how efficient was the room management. Unmanned, but we got good directions, that was easy to follow. Both the room and the common space was clean and tidy. There is a parking space in front of the house - this is valuable during Vasaloppet's week.

Mora Life, Åmåsängsgården, hotel in Mora

This property, 3 km from the Mora’s town centre, is 150 metres from Lake Siljan. It offers cosy cottages with a private patio. Both private parking and WiFi are free.

I could leave my backpack before and after check-in / check-out, so I could visit more comfortably. The service building, with kitchen, toilets and showers, is clean, tidy and fresh (new). There is seating space for eating attached to the kitchen. Excellent wifi everywhere. I was in one of the little cabins for non-vehicle guests - it was good enougb for what I needed :-)

Nice town but only a couple of places of interest: The Zorn Museum and the ski museum. The ski museum was closed. Decent restaurants especially 'The Pub' which served a very good inexpensive buffet.

Mora is a beautiful small town in a very beautiful surrounding. Visiting the town takes maybe half a day, but you can spend an eternity in the surrounding nature. A recommendation is to visit Nusnäs, where the hand-make the Swedish (dala) horses

For a ski enthusiast the location is the best ever. They have a colourful table outside the door which is RIGHT by the goalpost for Vasaloppet, also facing the old buildings. (It's permanent there year round). The hostel have everything you need, but is a bit pricey compared with elsewhere in Sweden. After all Mora is really worth a visit. Such an incredible beautiful area. Very friendly staff and for once finally a hostel where the self-check-in actually worked without hickups.

Great hotel for an overnight stay! Gym, pool and sauna were great! Staff was very kind and helpful, helped us to freeze our dog's food over the night. Yes, about the dog - the hotel is pet friendly which is a huge plus! You pay extra 100 SEK for a pet. Furniture and bathroom are a bit old style, however very fresh and clean so it was not a problem at all. The hotel is a tad far from Mora center, however it is very quiet and peaceful around it.

The hotel is part of a larger complex for caravans, tents, and chalets etc. The rooms was large, clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style and extremely good. It was located ina quiet wooded area just outside of Mora but in walking distance of the town centre (about 12 minutes) and Mora Strand train station and the lake. Good wifi. Quiet in early September, but I imagine it is very busy during the peak summer season.

Staff was quite helpful and attentive. The room was adequate and clean on our arrival. Breakfast was great. Mora is a terrific little town, and the Anders Zorn house and museum were both wonderful. There is a lovely hiking trail and golf course within walking distance as well.

A very clean and fresh place to stay in Mora, max. 10 min. walk from Mora Strand railway station. Extremely clean, everything looked brand new. Many well equipped kitchens and fridges. I think also there is a sauna, but I did not try.

Fresh small cottage outside of Mora. Very calm area. You don't hear any cars which is great and relaxing. The cottage is newly built. Good communication with the owners. We arrived late and there was no problem to check in so late.

Simple room which was comfortable for one night. It was nice and quiet being at the back of the building. The hotel is a little dated but I felt it had more character than some of the other places I stayed at.
