You drive from one village to another in this scenic, green and gorgeous landscape. A church and houses, that's all there is in each village until you reach Plešivec, where we booked this B&B, very neat, very comfortable and next to the only nice restaurant we saw in miles. Spacy room, view onto the mountains, supermarket at 500 m.
In other words: the best place to choose as a starting point for this area.
The host was most helpful and e.g. helped us to book a cart ride to the wild horses in the nearby Aggtelek National Park.

The property is in the heart of the town on the main arterial road. Apparently, it has been recently renovated. Everything seemed very well designed and stylishly decorated. The room (single bed) was small but functional. The bed was very soft, which I appreciate. The bathroom was nicely decorated and spotless. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was either buffet or ala-carte based on the number of guests, and had the standard options. I didn't get chance to take advantage of the wellness. To summarize, I'd stay here again for sure.
