The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Federico Fellini International Airport in Rimini, Italy. It's approximately 16 kilometres away, making it the closest and most accessible airport to San Marino.
San Marino, the world's oldest republic, lacks public transport. However, it's compact and walkable, with most attractions within 2km. Taxis are available, but limited. For longer distances, consider renting a bicycle or car. Remember, driving requires an international driving permit. Parking is available at Piazzale Calcigni.

Visit San Marino was a dream plan for us.
We rent a car to rich San Marino from Florence. We had only one night reserved for San Marino. This place is unique. I plan to come back one day to stay longer and enjoy the beauty of this place.

San Marino itself is an amazing place to visit.
San Marino itself is an amazing place to visit. All the historical buildings, steep winding streets of vendors continuing for ages until you reach the top castle embattlements. And you can pick another route down passing more vendors along the way, everything from high end fashion and jewelry to weapons shops. As an Australian, I was shocked that all these guns, knives, machetes, flick knives, spears, high powered bows, arrows, sling shots, crossbows etc. were for open sale. Our laws prevent such sale of deadly weapons but each to their own.

Walking up Mount Titan and visiting the towers was great - a nice escape into a wooded area on a hot day. The old historic centre was lovely, and there appeared to be a couple of good restaurants up there. But otherwise, once you leave the historic centre, but are still up on the hill, it was difficult to find a decent restaurant for dinner that served more than just burgers or sandwiches. I would suggest that San Marino is nice to visit for a couple of hours, explore the historic centre, maybe do some tax-free shopping, but it doesn't require an overnight stay.

San Marino, the capitol and old town of the San Marino...
San Marino, the capitol and old town of the San Marino republic, located on the top of Monte Titano, is a fantastic and tremendously scenic place. In my opinion there are many beautiful and interesting things to see and learn more about just walking around in the old town and visiting the three towers. In addition to the wonderful scenery and the historical sensation, there are numerous museums, shops or restaurants to visit. definitely quite a nice place to go for a short stay.
The only thing I didn't appreciate that much and that I found didn't really fit in this specific environment was the commercial approach with plenty of shops and stalls trying to sell various gadgets and thingies. But ok, everything can't be completely genuine and all that perfect.

After the crowdedness of other European cities San Marino...
After the crowdedness of other European cities San Marino was a haven. This is probably because there is no airport or train station and you really need a car to get there. The mountain and old town are Unesco heritage protected and the views are stunning. We loved visiting the three towers and the Public Palace. Unique boutiques with quality products ( shopping is tax free) and there are some great buys to be had particularly Italian leather bags and jewellery. A picturesque and charming place.
Excellent location within the old town walls. Parking P6 is located just a few steps away from the hotel entrance.
With the special ticket offered by the hotel you only pay €4/day for parking. Good breakfast included.
They let us do a late check-out so we could see some other points of interest in the morning.
They also provided us with the "Tutto San Marino" card, for a discount in some of the local attractions.
Excellent location, 2 minute walk to the cable car station to travel up to the old town of San Marino. 5 minute walk from the bus stop for the bus from Rimini make sure you say to stop at Cafe Forcellini. Hotel is in a beautiful old square. Staff were very friendly and let us check in to a vacant room so we could store our stuff.
The hotel is perfectly located for a short visit to San Marino.
Public parking nr.6 is just a one minute walk away.
The staff at the reception was the friendliest and most helpful I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. She even called restaurants for me to make dinner reservations. I’d definitely stay here again.
Lovely clean hotel in the centre of San Marino, extremely good value for money compared to most of Italy and San Marino. The room was very nice with a good view. The staff were all very friendly and useful, with a nice bar area downstairs. They also provided a tourist pass for discounts around San Marino.
Hotel Rosa is a beautiful hotel in the heart of San Marino easy walk to all of the town. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We requested s transfer to and from the bus station for €10 which was a necessity due to the steep terrain.
Great location right by the walled city, amazing view, good breakfast, and all for a great price. Perfect for a quick stay in San Marino. Staff was also very helpful with perfect English. Paid parking lot right 50m outside the hotel. Highly recommended!
Great location inside the historical center/walls of San Marino which you can easily explore in a few hours. Nice staff and very well located. You can park right outside the city walls at a reduced rate of 4 euros a day.
A nice hotel with ample private parking, convenient to visit San Marino. It is quite close to the cable car, but I'd recommend driving to the cable car base rather than walking, as the route is not pedestrian-friendly.
Everything is perfect. Highly recommend if you want to live in San Marino. The location is in central, the staff are nice, the view is beautiful, and the service is really good. We really enjoyed our stay.
Center of old city, 100 m from Parking 6 free provided by owner Daniel. Very frienfly staff. Had room with door to nice garden.Excellent breakfast. Lovely food at nice restaurant in hotel.
very nice Hotel in the core of San Marino, you can easily walk from P6, the team is absolutely friendly,
we had a nice room, breakfast is good, unfortunately it´s not real Italian espresso
Staff were absolutely wonderful and accommodating. The views breathtaking. And San Marino the most beautiful city I have ever visited in the 60 some countries I have been to.
Very well maintained with more facilities than expected, outdoor eating/ seating area, inside bar and parking at hotel (unusual in San Marino). Super nice and helpful staff.
Charming hotel in quiet town, perfect base to explore San Marino! The room was quite spacious and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
The hotel has very nice location right under the fortress of San Marino. Also the room is big enough with very nice bathroom. everything was very clean.
