Kamala beach was a relaxing and friendly beach.
Kamala beach was a relaxing and friendly beach. The locals were very friendly and hospitalble. I would stay away from the west end of the beach because I believe there may be raw sewage entering the ocean from a canal that had a sewage type odor. We did go to other beaches and they were all very busy and offered similar services.

Other than the location nothing else including facilities at the hotel were good. A very run-down property and needs upgrade. Though on your website rated as five stars but it did not have any of those qualities that would qualify it to be rated as five stars. The pool in front of the room was not clean, the bathrooms were very old with no facilities. The location of the Hotel is very good if only they could renovate it and make it look better.

This beach is not the best beach I have been within Phuket.
This beach is not the best beach I have been within Phuket. It hasn't the whitest or finest of sand. BUT..., Kamala is a small village, a small enclave if you like. Hence, people are lesser, less stress, locals friendlier, and because it is small, things are all within reach! INCLUDING THE SEA! You name it... Food, Drinks, Music, Beach, Massages, Shops, 7-11s, Hill Top, etc They are all avail at Kamala. You have accom just by the sea... which is a luxury these days. It is a slow pace relaxing town, so if you are looking for big sounds, big buzz and a lot of hype, then Kamala will disappoint you. However, if you just want to chill, have a nice relaxing time and a great tan by the sea with not so many people, COME TO KAMALA!

I usually stay in Patong.
I usually stay in Patong. Kamala was a welcome relief from the hussle and bussle of Patong. Great little coffee shop 936 Coffee had seriously good coffee. Little Lillo Restaurant Wine & Bar great food, great service and they even had a free Cabaret show on Saturday night. I will definitely spend more time in Kamala on my next trip.JohnAustralia

Very peaceful (that could have been the time of year we went) somewhere away from the hustle and bustle. Staff were lovely. Breakfast varied and more than adequate for everyone. Beach beautiful but not swimable due to the coral. Plenty of taxi's available to get to other parts of Phuket at a very reasonable price. Approximately 10 minute ride to Patong.
