Our host could not have been better. She was the most helpful and kind person we have met so far in Thailand. She arranged a taxi for us to come over and also to leave early in the morning. The accommodation was also perfect, basic, modern and really peaceful. We had a thai massage on the porch and it was just the ultimate relaxing stay which needed.

La Maison - Chiangmai, hotel in Ban Pang Luang

Situated within 25 km of Elephant Nature Park and 33 km of Mae Jo University in Mae Taeng, La Maison - Chiangmai offers accommodation with seating area.

I recently stayed at La Maison and while the property itself is beautiful and the staff incredibly friendly, there were some aspects that left me disappointed. One of the main reasons for choosing this place was the yoga and meditation workshops, unfortunately, these were not available as the owners were away. this was not communicated to us before. The communal areas are charming and well-maintained, but the outside area of our hut was minimal and uncomfortable. I had envisioned relaxing outside after dinner, gazing at the sky, but the only seating option was a narrow bench under a roof. The hammock under the building was not appealing either. Another concern was the price of the evening meal, which I found to be quite expensive at 400 baht per person. This included tomatoes, rice, pork skewers, and a very small square of chocolate cake, with no drinks included. Considering we had enjoyed a delicious meal with drinks just 10 minutes away for 120 baht for both of us, we felt that the meal at La Maison was overpriced. Furthermore, we were told that without transportation, there weren't any other dining options nearby. This felt a bit limiting, especially when considering the price of the meals offered at the property. Overall, while La Maison has its merits, there are areas that could be improved to offer a better value and experience for guests.

Sibsan Resort & Spa Maetaeng SHA, hotel in Ban Pang Luang

Surrounded by a tropical garden in Amphur Mae Tang, Sibsan Resort & Spa Maeteang offers luxurious villas with free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and a spa.

Tucked away near elephant camps, this resort is a nature lover's dream, nestled in a scenic valley with mountains and a river. The lush greenery on the hotel grounds is beautifully maintained, creating a serene atmosphere. During our stay, we had the whole place to ourselves, which was a nice surprise. The rooms are spacious and cozy, fitting in perfectly with the surrounding nature, and each room has it's own wifi router. One morning, we asked the hotel to arrange for us to visit a nearby ethical elephant camp they recommended, and we had a great time. The pools are huge and have a unique shape that adds to the resort's charm. The reception staff speak English well and were always helpful. Dinners were tasty, served by friendly waiters. Overall, our stay was a relaxing mix of nature and comfort.

อิงเหนือ โฮมสเตย์, hotel in Ban Pang Luang

Situated in Ban Muang Kut, 7 km from Elephant Nature Park, อิงเหนือ โฮมสเตย์ features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Guests can enjoy mountain views.

The property was at a breath-taking location, with incredible views. The staff were incredible and very accomodating. Unique, authentic Northern Thailand experience. Very close to nature. The staff (specifically the one girl with the kid) took care of us very well. She prepared meals for us every breakfast and dinner (probably would’ve done lunch too if we were around). Trust us when we say the home stay healed our stomachs with the morning congee and the nightly Mookata. She also did our laundry for us for free. Even though we communicated through google translate, it was super easy to talk to her during our 4 night stay.
