The location of the resort is perfect. Clean wide quiet beach, a restaurant under a tree, pool under coconut trees. The bungalows are nice, clean, ac is good. It could use some renovation, but for this price we didnt find a better place in Thailand!
Located along Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach, Starlight Resort Koh Phangan offers comfortable rooms with private balconies. It boasts an outdoor pool facing the beach.

The hotel features a great restaurant with fresh fish from local fishermen on certain days and a good buffet breakfast with a variety of fresh fruits. The rooms are quiet, and the beach it's situated on is one of the best on the island, in my opinion. The hotel has a friendly camping vibe with authentic Thai bungalows, and good value for money.

I arrived with my son for a few days: the beach is still quiet and secluded and this offers a bit of what Thailand was years ago. The beach was beautiful and waters just right though the wash up from ocean requires human care (humans litter humans clean).
Walking up to the right side of the beach there is a walk way up the mountain - we found 2c up there amazed at the views and found our new best friend up the mountain.
Best coffee just outside pens! Best to eat in the small Thai places and! The Living Room for a break with beautiful Stefan’s and his wife Italian chefs.
All locals gorgeous.

The resort food is good, but the lovely long beach has a range of restaurants enabling you to choose somewhere different each evening - a stroll down the beach away. The village (within easy walking distance from the resort) has many local restaurants that offer cheap, tasty food. Great fruit shakes at every spot.

This was our favourite hotel of the four we stayed at during our recent holiday to Koh Phanang and Koh Samui. Beautiful beachfront location, excellent value for money (this was the cheapest hotel we stayed in). Our room the family seafront bungalow was right on the beach and had privacy glass windows so we could lie in bed an admire the view without anyone looking in. We took hotels private transfer from pier for 600 baht which is the same price as a local taxi so would recommend doing this.
The shower pressure was fine. The only thing there is no separation between shower and toilet. This is quite normal in Thailand and was the case in the most expensive 4 star hotel we stayed in on this trip - just so you are aware.
Far nicer to take the easy trip over here on the 30 minute speedboat ride than stay on Koh Samui if you want to experience the real Thailand.

It is a beautiful beach with soft clean sand, perfect swimming (the right depth and sandy bottom), kayaks and paddle boards for rent, and beautiful views of surrounding mountains. The beach is not too crowded, and it is long enough to explore different restaurants and bars along the beach. We loved it.

The family atmosphere at Pen's Bungalow's and Tong Nai Pan in general is priceless and getting harder to find any where in the world. The variety of good to great places to eat and a few laid back beach bars makes for a perfect beach setting. Walking the beach on your way to nowhere in particular is in itself a wonderful experience at Tong Nai Pan Yai.

Lovely hotel room just off the beach.
Lovely hotel room just off the beach. Loads of bars/ restaurants nearby. The lady at reception was incredibly helpful and friendly, we were very grateful for all her assistance. Would recommend hiring a car if you want to get around the island, and if you do make sure to visit the waterfalls - even though they had dried when we visited we had a great hike.

The hotel is situated about half hour drive from the ferry terminal in the quiet part of the island away from crowds and noise. It keeps standards consistent with its category. Rooms are big, well equipped, with terraces or balconies. The swimming pool os an alternative to swimming in the sea. The beach is nice, calm but there are too few deck chairs. Breakfast is good. The personnel is vary friendly, competent and helpful. The place is ideal for somebody that needs quiet rest, far from crowds and noise...
We loved the vibe here. Excellent pool (with bar). Beautiful bungalow with comfortable beds and a nice patio.
The guy at the pool bar is amazing, so friendly, always ready for a chat and to serve you. I hope they treasure him. Try the passionfruit mochito, it's excellent ;-)
Love the beach here too, relaxed and beautiful. Food in the local area is great. And the breakfast and coffee is nice to at the hotel.
The room is new, so all the furniture, accessories and bathroom are clear and work well. The view from the room is very beautiful, all the necessary mini shops and nice cafes are in 2-3 minutes walk.
Thanks for the hospitality and good condition of everything! We were in the other hotels on this beach before, but they are much worse that this place, but cost more! So this option is very fair
Very nice location at the top of the hill (no mosquito). Fantastic breakfast, pool with view, washing machine, AC, complimentary drives to town and to the beach (Thong Nai Pan Yai beach is great with swings, playground, bar/restaurants, diving center), possibility to rent car and scooters. Super nice with kids, we had a great stay, thank you so much!

It's super close to the beach, the staff is very helpful and friendly (helped me to rent a bike, with laundry service, with taxis back and forth to the pier, and also she taught me how to ride the motorbike for the first time! haha)
The room is perfectly equiped and clean
The hotel is hidden in a beautiful well cared garden. The interior was very good, clean bathroom and beds. We loved the little pool for cooling down. No breakfast but you can prepare your own breakfast ,a there is a toaster in the room also a pan but there is no cooker.
Best location on the beach, great food in the hotel restaurant. Spent 4 days with 2 small kids and loved it. Bed can be more comfy but you get what you pay for. Getting to the full moon party is a bit far specially finding a taxi for going back.
Very good foodcourt nearby on the main street
The room has a safe and is big enough, this is the only positive thing i can mention.
Hotel paid us the transfer back to the pier because we were disappointed.
Great location right on a beautiful beach and a small town with nice restaurants and foodcourt in walking distance. The hotel bar right on the beach too and has a nice vibe, little pricey though.
Pretty far from the full moon party if that’s why you’re going but steps away is basically a private beach with great restaurants. Absolutely beautiful. And quiet! Loved staying here.
The staff and the hotel manager were very kind and helpful. They really care about the guests and the environment and even helped with the transfer to the ferry.
The bungalows are super close to the beach. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Good value for the money.
There is a bar and a pool table. Good vibes
