The receptionist checks up on you every day and gives the best advice for must see places and restaurants. Nice rooftop view in the hotel. View over huge park Belvedere and a beautiful artmuseum. Hotel is situated at 25 min walkingdistance to the center and it is a nice through avenue de Paris. Hotel is also on a 4 min walking distance from a very nice restaurant called ' la cloche d'or'. They serve typical Tunesian food, there is alcohol and the setting is cosy! The old market MEDINA is also on a walking distance of half an hour ( rooftop view ' les You can take the taxi ( donwload BOLT app) and go to the lovely SIDI BOU SAID ( = santorini :D) in about 30 min by car and it is cheap. Also interesting to visit the archeological site of cartago since it is close to Sidi bou said.

by coincidence we travelled during Ramadan and booked room with half board. The iftar meal was the highlight of our visit to Tunisia. Excellent excellent choice of items on buffet, very friendly staff in the dining hall and the cook had the biggest smile in all of Tunisia, lovely reception staff (well versed in english, arabic and french). Mariott was brilliant overall

The Dar is so beautiful and historical, it's such a beautiful place. The staff are so really nice and helpful.. The rooms are great, big and comfy. They have everything. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we tried the restaurant for dinner and it was our best meal in Tunisia. Thanks so much !
