Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia, was an amazing place to stay.
Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia, was an amazing place to stay. The town's vibrant blue and white architecture, delicious food, and friendly people made it a truly memorable experience. I also enjoyed seeing the many street cats that were a part of the town's charm.

A beautiful little town, full of local charm, everything you need is within walking distance, cheap public transport. Its an extremely safe and hospitable place with very friendly people. My partner could walk around at night, enjoying the warm nights (in december),feeling safe while, she enjoyed feeding the beautiful cats that roam the streets. We both work from home, so it was important to have a good quality internet, and the WiFi was of great quality and very reliable.

Very easy to get around Sidi Bou Saiid
On my next visit, I would avoid going when hot season started.

This is a moment in time that grows better and better: a retreat from a 100 years ago for artists and intellectuals and Tunisians who prize the mountain top view of the bay and the city below, the white and blue houses, and the quiet. It has its own rewards and none of the rush or noise found in similar such places. It's a gem that has yet to be ruined.

Sidi Bou Said is a Unesco village located on top of a cliff, hence the view from the terrace of the property. and there is always a light breeze, much appreciated in high temperature. It is full of character, quiet and quaint. It is pedestrianised. Tends to be busy with tours and in the evenings with locals coming for fresh air, but that's part of the atmosphere.
Transport is also good - the train at the bottom of the hill goes to Tunis for shopping in the Medina or La Marsa for good beaches.
There is a well-stocked supermarket at the bottom of the hill.
Everything ! The house was perfectly decorated in a way that reflects the Tunisian design and traditions , had all the facilities and 2min walking from the Sidi bou Said town , with a variety of restaurants and supermarkets nearby , Imed was extremely friendly and welcoming and will help when needed , he also provided us with a secure parking for the car right next to the house. This place is a MUST DO once in Tunisia

Fabulous hotel, can’t recommend it highly enough. Facilities are great, breakfast is amazing quality and with lots of options. The pools and spa are such a bonus, and having access to the kitchen if you need it is a lovely touch. Best of all is the staff - so kind and helpful and happy to go above and beyond. I’d definitely go back again.
My wife and I had a lovely stay at la Menara.
We experienced the warmest of welcome Tunisia is so famous for.
Overlooking the Tunis bay in the scenic Sidi Bou Said town.
Beautifully decorated rooms, spa and very professional staff who made our stay so enjoyable.
A truly lovely place that I will come back to on my next trip to Tunis.
I had a fantastic time staying here for four nights. The location was great — close to old town but not touristy and quiet. Plus, there’s a rooftop to enjoy stunning sunrise and sunset. The host Beji was perfect—thoughtful and friendly. He is absolutely a guarantee of wonderful stay in Sidi bou Said.
Wonderful view from the property. Convenient location for visiting Sidi Bou Said. Delicious breakfast. The host arranged for transport from the airport and liaised with the taxi service when our flight was delayed - and was gracious in welcoming us when we reached La Demeure at midnight.
The location is the best if you are looking to be in the center of the cute village of Sidi Bou Said. This village has a Greek look to it.
The landlord was really great and was very welcoming and nice. He was really kind and made the difference for sure in term of great service.
I loved the location in Sidi Bou Said as that is where I wanted to be for the week. Hotel is in a side street so lovely and peaceful, away from noise of main street. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurants for evening meal close by so very convenient.
very cute apartment/house with pretty much everything you need. excellent location not just for Sidi bou Said but overall if you want to stay in Tunis this is the area to stay. We came late due to flight delays and host helped us with self check in.
The place is beautiful, our bedroom was nicely decorated, giving a cozy and traditional atmosphere.
We loved the kindness of the staff, the breakfast in the patio enjoying the sun and the perfect location of the hotel.
This hotel is right at the eastern edge of beautiful Sidi Bou Said, with spectator views of the Mediterranean. The breakfast on the balcony was amazing. The room was beautifully appointed.
enchanting city and the hotel is superb, the location , view , staff cooperation with everything (even a PCR swab arrangement with an official laboratory)
Good breakfast, good wifi, great roof terrace. Unique traditional setting in old traditional Tunisian house with central courtyard and central location.
