Breakfast was excellent - leaving apart the wide choice of food, there was specifically a real variety of different types of cheese and olives, making it a memorable Mediterranean breakfast. The room was cozy in the authentic Mardin architectural interior plus the bed was very good and comfortable. The owner and manager is responsive to all needs of the guests doing a great job.

We stayed for three nights in a beautiful suite room at Mirsoum Han and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The employees (Davud & Diyar) always welcomed us with a smile. With their kind, friendly & always solution-oriented attitude they really made us feel very welcome. Smallest suggestions for improvement were implemented literally the next day.
Before I move on to the tasteful rooms I have to mention the breakfast. We have been on the road for 2 weeks and the breakfast here has by far been the most amazing! Medina, the lady in the kitchen, went above and beyond to provide us with a different amazing breakfast every morning. She even made special vitamin drinks for me, because she cared for my pregnancy. I would come back here anytime just for the breakfast!
The stone rooms with high arched ceilings are as beautiful & spacious as shown on the pictures. We had a fire place (Davud helped us set it up every night), an amazing copper bath tub, multiple cozy sitting areas beautifully decorated and a very big modern bathroom. We loved drinking the nespresso coffee provided and just enjoying the beauty of the room. Also the lighting in the room is very romantic. You can see in every corner of the hotel, that it is an acclaimed architect’s work. Also, the sitting area outside has a beautiful view of Mesopotamia.
We would warmly recommend staying in this high quality hotel and love to come back.

The property was well maintained, clean and the staff provided excellent services. Breakfast was lovely, they would give so much that I was unable to finish it! I travelled solo (female) and felt safe and knew I was in good hands. Very satisfied with the staff, the services and the cleanliness and beauty of the hotel. They sorted out my taxi to and from the airport, offered me a tour service. The taxi driver/tour guide Tahir was very good. He took plentiful photos for me and took care of me.

A beautiful town, completely different from the Turkiye...
A beautiful town, completely different from the Turkiye known by those who visit the coast. Kurdish, not Turkish, with Christian buildings going back to the fourth century and a culture that encompasses many religions and languages. A good base for a day trip (with guide) to Midyat and other local sites. Plenty of restaurants, serving wide variety of foods. Wine shops, selling local wines, but no bars in the old town.
Really wish we had read more before going. Pictures show the beautiful pale-coloured buildings climbing up the hillside but not the fact that the 'roads' are more often steps. Wonderful small narrow streets, a copper bazaar where people were at work, incredible churches, mosques and madrasas - but you need to have good hips and knees!
An excellent Hamam, open for men mornings and evenings, for women in the afternoons.
For anyone interested in early Christianity, in cultural melting pots, or in somewhere unlike most tourist towns, Mardin and Midyat, and the necropolis at Dara, the area is exceptional. Allow about four days and bring sensible shoes.
Good and cheap bus service from the airport, no need to use taxis.

This was the second time to visit Mardin, this time during a small road trip. Mardin is a place were you don not see Western people. Please do not mention it, otherwise it will ruined as other old citys. Atmosfere specicial on the market is like 200years old. Views are amazing, and most important the people.

Mardin old town is a remarkable destination - fabulous architecture, great shopping, many wonderful restaurants, and world renown historic sites nearby. We stayed at Fairouz Konak Otel, which we would highly recommend - it is a historic building in the heart of Mardin old town, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and stores, We were welcomed by our thoughtful host with delicious offerings of food and drink; he was able to answer all our questions about his city. The hotel was memorable for its charming rooms, fantastic panoramic views from many terraces, delicious breakfasts, and excellent host and staff, We highly recommend a visit to Mardin and a stay at Fairouz Konak Otel!

Mardin is one good medium city not very bussy for turists. There is one old and interesting city with a lot of loveley mosque, houses and narrow street, very different for others places from Europe. I used this location for travell to Dara and Husankyf on Tigris river.

Mardin is beautiful and ancient and wonderful.
Mardin is beautiful and ancient and wonderful. Everyone was so friendly - I never encountered even one person who wasn't kind and gracious.
I think the only down side to Mardin is all of the litter. Although I saw several workers cleaning, it seems the people of Mardin don't understand the impact of throwing you trash out the window, which I saw a lot of.
Nonetheless, I loved Mardin. The history, the people, the general feel... wonderful! I will return!

Mardin is a very interesting city in the East of Turkey.
Mardin is a very interesting city in the East of Turkey. There are a lot of places to visit for a person who loves history, culture and tasty food. People who live there are different: Turks, Kurds, Syriacs. The city is quite friendly and calm. There are a lot of must-visit places in the city center. It is also interesting to visit the close cities, like Midyat, Sanliurfa, Gobekli Tepe.
But I advice not to go in winter. This time it had started to snow right before the flight. So it was cancelled, the airport was closed for 2 days, as it was no ready for the weather somehow.
I liked the friendly staff who was eager to help. They helped me to build an itinerary (my compliments to Veysi) for the sightseeing of the beautiful city of Mardin ( I stayed 3 nights but I could use more time because there were a lot of things to see). I also liked staying in this historical stone building which was built hundreds of years ago.
The place was centrally located (in the hearth of the old town) and it was quick to reach from the airport. There were plenty of restaurants and shops around the hotel.
The hotel is perfectly located in a beautiful and quiet part of Mardin, a short walk from all the major attractions and restaurants.
The owner of the hotel was incredibly welcoming and helpful. They make an excellent breakfast and were happy to make me a special breakfast to fit my allergies, they upgraded our room for free, they gave us excellent advice and tips in the city.
The rooms are lovely, with very comfortable beds, mini fridge, heating and air conditioning
We would definitely stay again!
From the moment you enter the hotel, you feel as if you have gone to a close relative's house and are being welcomed by them in the most sincere way. The hotel is very new, it was built with very fine touches, preserving Mardin architecture down to the smallest detail. The bathrooms of the rooms are in the form of Turkish baths. A wonderful breakfast awaits you with an endless view of Mesopotamia. Its location is right in the heart of old Mardin.
The best part of our stay were Nuh Bey and his team! They represent the culture and nature of the region, which we fell in love with.
Nuh Bey does his best to accommodate the guests and make them feel like at home. He gave us a tour of a few places in Mardin, and helped us find a restaurant to celebrate the NY.
The hotel is located in the very center of Mardin, so a good place to reach all historical sites of the city.
Great location within eski Mardin. Located right under the Ulu mosque. The home is 600 years old and very beautiful it also manages to stay cool even when it was 40 C 100 F outside! Great terrace with a Mesopotamia view. Close to all the sites and restaurants but still on a very quiet street. The host was excellent, extremely available and attentive to anything we needed.
My girlfriend and I were lucky to discover this place on our trip to Mardin. It's a new, very stylish hotel located near everything you want to do in the city. However, the staff are what made our stay great! They are very kind and helpful. Breathtaking view from the terrace is a huge plus and we ate one of the most delicious menemen I have eaten in Turkey.
We book 6 rooms in hotel, 4 twin, 1 triple and 1 single. But when we arrive they give us 3 double, 1 twin 1triple and 1 single. 3 double not in same building. Also all room don't have ketel/tea coffe maker. they give us small rooms, not same as in pictures!!!. But we saw other rooms is bigger. How come this hotel give very bad rooms for our group!!??
In fact, I did not find the hotel to be at a five-star level for many reasons, including
1- The hotel did not have a private garage 2- The bathrooms were not up to the required standard 3- The breakfast was lacking in many materials 4- The rooms were not comfortable due to street noise 5- The air conditioning was not good
Everything was perfect: we were welcomed with tea and biscuits, we got upgraded in a very beautiful room, the view is amazing, the hotel is very central, the breakfast was phenomenal and the staff really, really kind. Thank you thank you you made our stay in Mardin very enjoyable. We highly recommend it!
You feel an authentic Mardin experience staying at this place. Very typical Mardin house and room. Breakfast was so perfect. Homemade. Not too much not too little and exactly what a breakfast in Turkey is. The owner is very polite and very helpful. We are very happy with our overall experience there.
The location is perfect: at the end of main street of old town. It has a closely guarded private parking lot. The facilities are quite atmospheric. You can drink tea at the terrace and watch the sunset and the night science of the city. When I return to Mardin, I will stay here again.
Beautiful hotel in the historical heart of Mardin, next to Zinciriye mosque. I loved the place, room, roof terrace with beautiful view. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they let me check-in earlier and arranged a transport to the airport for me. I recommend to everyone!
The hotel is in a beautiful old building.
My room was clean, quiet and comfortable.
From the terrace you have a spectacular view: in front of you stretches the Mesopotamian plain; behind you towers the fortress of Mardin.
The hotel is located in the old town and is very close from the main street where you can find restaurants and shops.
The staff is very friendly and very helpful.
The room is very comfortable.
Hotel is luxury authentic Mardin style place. It provides great view terrace and local customized continental breakfast.
Best place among all hotels during current travel route.
We really enjoyed with our stay. Hotel stuff was great. Incredibly clean room and view was amazing from hotel terrace. we loved it. definitely recommend everybody.
