Location is amazing - on a hill, in a peaceful area next to a nice village. Accommodation is perfectly maintained, all authentic vintage furniture is in great condition which creates a sense of time travel in this hotel. Food was good and the view from the restaurant is breath taking. A great place to spend a couple of days away from the hassle and enjoy the nature.

Good buffet dinner and breakfast. Willingness to change our room when it was found that there was a bird nest right by our AC outlet - the babies WOULD HAVE DIED if the AC had been used. I communicated with the management, and they assure me that the pipe will be deflected, or the room not used until the baby birds have flown.

The hotel was amazing. The Host is very kind and friendly, available to give us directions and advice, such as where to dine (really good suggestion!). The room was spacious and characteristic, very Turkish style hotel. No parking problems. The hotel is located in an area with many restaurants, bars and other facilities. Breakfast is with fixed dish (no possibility to choose from a buffet) with bread, olive, cheeses (yummy!), eggs as you want... so we didn' starve! :-) recommend

The room was squeaky clean. The hotel was centrally located. 10 minutes walk to the train and the bus stations. They had good tie ups with travel agencies for tours to Ephesus and Pamukkale. Breakfast was served on time. House cleaning was brilliant.
Omer and his friend (who run the hotel) helped with arranging transport, the right buses to take.

We spent 3 days - one day in Selcuk ( there are 3 sites including Ephesus Museum worth one day) and one day doing Ephesus with a private guide( excellent and picked by the hote) and make sure you do the Terraces( many tours don't include it) and finally you can do 3 amazing sites 1-2 hours away - Piriene, Milietus and Didyma ( very few people do this but worth it). Smaller and less touristy with locals attentive to your need and willingness to help. Ephesus Archeological Park was the highlight of the visit. There is no dearth of choices for eating - from local Turkish dishes to Burger King. Selchuk is more convenient to stay as beginning from morning you can at your leisurely pace cover St John's Basilica, Artemis Temple, Ephesus Archeological Park and Virgin Mary's House all in one day.

we stayed in Sirince.
we stayed in Sirince. An antique village in the mountains outside of Selcuk. A 19th Century experience in small town Turkey. Bring good shoes for steep hills and uneven ground. Good natural foods from local farms. Expect an authentic experience.

I’m not sure why anyone from away would come to Selcuk unless they were there to see the antique ruins of Ephesus. That is certainly why we came. If you are in Turkey- I suggest it is a must see.
Ephesus is one of the most excavated sites in the world. It is humbling to see how much as a civilized culture we have forgotten- or forgot and have had to rediscover over the millenniums.
That said, Selcuk had decent dining options, and other attractions like the Ephesus Museum (where the artifacts are housed), and the Saint John Basilica which are fantastic. Both are blocks from the Akanthus hotel (which I reviewed separately and highly recommend .

Amazing place in order to visit not only Ephesus but other ancient greek cities nearby too. The city in itself has also many touristic spots in itself (like the lonely column that remains ot the ancient Artemision).
Nilya was a very comfy hotel with an amazing breakfast. It was a great value for our money. It was located to several tourist spots in Selcuk and close to dining so we were able to walk to all the points of interest and lunch/dinner within 15 mins.
The staff was attentive and the hotel had amazing art (owner owns a store that sells these arts which we unfortunately did not get to visit). The courtyard and view from upstairs were beautiful. Breakfast exceeded our expectation.
The view over Selçuk and Ayasuluk Hill were absolutely extraordinary. We asked our lovely hotelier Okyay where the best place to watch the sunset was, and he simply said 'Here'. He was absolutely right. The breakfast was lovely, the pool area was great, and the staff were very friendly. A special thanks to Okyay, who helped us book our car hire and was really helpful in facilitating our various activities.
For my wife and I this hotel was perfect. The owners and staff were incredibly obliging. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable, not something you find often in Turkey. The breakfast was really good which you had sat in a very private, shaded courtyard, very chilled atmosphere. Location could not have been better for visiting all the sites around Selcuk, most of which are within walking distance.
One of the best stays during our long Turkey trip. The location is beautiful you almost feel like you do not want to leave the premises, the pool is inviting and clean. The apartment is clean and we'll though out, it has everything you might need. The breakfast was enough to feed a football team and as a bonus: my kid and I could not get enough of the friendly dog. Come and see for yourself!
The location is excellent, being a few minutes walk from the train station. Excellent staff who were friendly and helpful both with hotel matters and travel / tourism / train advice. The breakfast was delicious! Also, there is a really good coffee shop at very affordable prices at the front of the hotel. Walkable to everywhere in Selcuk from the hotel. Room and all linens were clean.
Charming private hotel. They offer a wonderful breakfast, the best in our 10 days trip in Turkey.
Parking is possible on the street, free off charge. The room was very small, but we knew about it, we chose the atmosphere over the size. :)
The castle entrance is very close while you need to take only 5 minutes drive to the Ephesus site.
Good restaurants are nearby.
So far, an excellent stay of our trip in Turkey! strategic location near bus and train station, linked us to many interesting historical sites. Great hosts that made us feel at home, experiencing a healthy Turkish breakfast and beyond just a usual hotel we ever travelled! Many thanks to Nurcan & Ilahe for their kindness - unforgettable stay in Selcuk :)
Such a beautiful hotel, nicely decorated with a cute garden and pool. Staff were lovely and attentive, we also got an upgrade for our room. Very comfortable bed and nice shower. Perfect location in Selcuk and easy to get to Ephesus as well as driving to any other place. Breakfast was beyond our expectations- everything freshly made, not buffet style
We stayed just one night to visit Ephesus. The room was very comfortable, location is perfect to reach the site and the staff is extremely friendly. Room has air conditioning, but also large windows with mosquitos’ nets. Bed and bathroom are comfortable. Good breakfast with both sweet and salty food (rare in Turkey).
The owner helped us to have a perfect experience in Selçuk (gave us very helpful tips on touristic spots and cheap, delicious restaurants, called cabs for us). He allowed us to store our bags in the hotel after check out.
Swimming pool area is very nice.
Breakfast was good and filling.
Overall a really great stay.
One of the best places on our itinerary! Postcard perfect little house, tastefully decorated with local crafts. The best view. Incredible breakfast. The town itself is definitely one of the highlights of Turkey. Make sure to take a walk to Mathematical village if you have a couple of hours to spare.
Everything. The property is gorgeous , the staff is friendly. The breakfast was amazing , probably the best we had in Turkey. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is great ! Erdem went out of his way to make us feel comfortable . We will hopefully be back in the future
We arrived to the hotel and was greeted by a vary friendly man namned Mr Erdem. We have been to Turkey many times but this hotel was something extra. We wanna thank Mr Erdem for his kindness.
The breakfast was more then you can expext. The beds as well very good.
Everything was wonderful! The location is on the top-of-the hill with the best view, air and breeze.
Beautiful hotel with exceptional hospitalitizes from both Melih and Okyay who went above and beyond for their guests. Nice and healthy breakfast served daily.
I spent two of the best nights in Selchuk with my two children here. Quiet courtyards, wonderful views, and the surrounding restaurants serve delicious food at very affordable prices. This is my most memorable place in Turkey.
Amazing vineyard location, not too far from Ephesus. Felt very exclusive and not like anything else I’ve experienced in Turkey. Hotel staff were very honest when we left some belongings in the room by accident.
this was the best of the 5 hotels we stayed at in turkey
the water pressure and temperature in the shower was good. breakfast was amazing and the people working were so nice
Super lovely place with a nice view of Sirince. A warm welcome and friendly and attentive people. Breakfast was one of the best in turkey. Everything was perfect. Thank you
