It’s clean and the bed with net so you don’t need to worry about the nighttime. They just upgraded the WiFi so everything should be fine. I won’t say it’s the best hotel in Arusha but it worth to stay.

I attended a conference at the AICC and for convenience I ate my dinner at the Mount Meru Hotel. I enjoyed the safari to Tarangire Park and had a lovely goat and lamb BBQ at the local Kwa Mrombo (a street full of BBQ goat meat in Arusha).

Arusha is not a pleasant place, on the very dirty crowded streets there is non stop people grabbing and talking to you all wanting money, we had one person tell us about his mother in the hospital and wanted us to pay her bills. Arusha is a means to a safari and that is it.

Arusha is a busy city.
Arusha is a busy city.
I have visited old German Boma which was converted into Natural History Museum.
Seen also Arusha Declaration Monument and Clocktower which they claim it’s located in the middle of Africa or let say in the middle between Cairo and Cape Town.
They have some supermarkets like Shoppers Supermarket or AIM Mall on the way to Arusha Airport.
East African Community HQ and Heritage Museum.

A typical African city, colorful with open local markets and malls, safe to walk around and very friendly people. Ideal location to start your safari because most safari organisers start safaris from there. I’ll definitely visit Arusha again.

Great city to stay in.
Great city to stay in. Definitely the safari hub; at least four major safari destinations (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater) within a day's drive. Lots of great (if sometimes challenging) hiking to be done in the foothills of Mount Meru and the Kilimanjaro (or climb the mountains if you feel like it).
Easy access through Arusha (domestic) or Kilimanjaro (international) airports. Taxis are cheap, but make sure you agree on a price beforehand,

Good variety of shops and interesting cultural and heritage centre. Convenient place for starting point for safari. Views of mountains/hills at times. Climate not too hot. Maasai market interesting.
We spent one night in between our safari and Zanzibar, but we wish we could have stayed longer. Franciska and her family are absolutely lovely and love to spend time with their guests and share stories and knowledge. Sitting at their table for dinner means learning a lot about both Tanzania and other guests countries.
Rooms and facilities were modern and very clean, staff was beyond friendly and the food was delicious.
If we happen to pass by Arusha again, we will stop at Haradali’s home for sure.
Planet Lodge is super convenient, being on the outskirts of Arusha centre, on the Kilimanjaro side. It takes about an hour to get there from the airport. The staff were extremely welcoming and very happy to help. I stayed the day before embarking on my safari, and for two nights after the safari. The hotel is very quiet, and felt very safe. The bedrooms are nice and meet all your needs. Having a pool is a plus (although it was quite cold), and the food was generally very good.
Planet Lodge is a wonderful place to stay in Arusha. All the rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and private. The bay window is an absolute show stopper. Private balconies provide the visitor with a chance to take in the amazing grounds. Everything is clean and operational. The breakfast buffet is an absolute adventure.
And the STAFF! Professional, courteous and make the stay that much more enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again.
The Hotel was great, exactly what I was expecting based on what was advertised and the reviews. Staff were also always ready to assist with any needs we had.
We also did a Day Trip to
Ngorongoro Crater National Park that the hotel organized for us, and it was absolutely amazing. They took care of all the details associated with the safari, all we had to do was get in the car 🙂.
I stayed at the Angelique oasis for a night to catch my flight the next day. The airport was 25 minutes from the house. I had the most relaxing time. The garden is a botanical beauty. The house was clean and has all the amenities as listed. The home sits in a quiet neighborhood. I definitely would stay longer if I had more days to spend in Tanzania.
The Vijiji is a lovely boutique hotel with beautiful rooms, a refreshing pool, gorgeous gardens and delicious meals. The staff were all welcoming and kind. Activities are also offered and I took advantage of a local walk in the villages which was beautiful and informative. Great place to stay near Arusha.
The location is a bit out of the center of Arusha but it's very nice to be outside the pollution and the noise. The hotel is cosy and the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. They work with another hotel Mambo Hideway which a small hidden romantic paradise to have a nice diner and cocktails.
Charity Hotel provided outstanding value. I mainly needed a place to crash in Arusha before getting picked up for my safari, and the hotel was perfect for that purpose. There was a pleasant garden though no other amenities. Service and Wifi were acceptable, especially at the price point.
The hotel is beautiful. Definitely one of the top in Arusha. We were travelling for a honeymoon and we got an upgrade, which was a beautiful gesture. The room was comfortable, clean and stylish. We dined in the bufet restaurant and the quality of food exceeded our expectations.
This is a quaint little hotel on the outskirts of Arusha. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was good, and the rooms were clean and spacious. There is wifi in the rooms which was a huge plus! And the garden area was welcoming and comfortable.
The environment are very beautiful. The management and everyone who works here they are such a nice people treating us like home .This is the top notch place to be for vocation in Tanzania ‚Arusha .book your vocation time here you will not regret it
bad service, although it's the most expensive hotel in Arusha but the service is so so bad, the rooms are not clean I have stayed for 4 nights, always there's something, they wont consider anything although you are paying money. bad service bad food.
The staff were all very welcoming and helpful! Reception staff helped us to arrange bus tickets, store our luggage and navigate Arusha. The rooms were clean and the water pressure was good. Very good value.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff ( Aboubakar ) was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Arusha
