Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying .
Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable. Greetings Paula& Johannes from The Netherlands . We are looking forward to come back again .

by walking distance you could reach Kae Funk, which is lovely place, with party, and amazing sunset view. Is right place for whom are interested for The Rock, by taxi it takes aprox. 25 min, the same to Paje beach. Michamwi is calm and full of nature. Unfortunately the ocean is full of seeweeds and is not pleasant to swim here.

It has some really nice beaches in the area and wonderful blue ocean as far as the eye can see. It's also quiet and very tranquil. We enjoyed a nice long walk on the beach with little to no interruptions from beach boys of sellers.
A perfect alternative to expensive beach resorts for those looking for an authentic experience, off the tourist path. Bungalows are cosy, decorated in Zanzibar style, with a private terrace where you can stare at the see while breakfast or a glass of wine is served. Although this is not an all-inclusive, the service is quite high-level thanks to a prepared smiling staff and Gillian, the property manager, who took care of us like longtime friends.
The famous Rock restaurant is within walking distance, a true plus from our side.
the property is secluded which is exactly what we were looking for.
When we did want to venture into town transfers were handled and it was always smooth and straightforward.
The food was spectacular! you can request to eat anywhere on the property to enjoy whatever view you’re feeling (pool, lobby, room etc). Each day a few options for lunch were shared, and a set menu for dinner. Food was fresh, generous portions and scrumptious. We got a nice mixture of Zanzibari cuisine and international options.
The hotel is located in a great spot on Chwaka Bay, a beautiful, but lesser known area of the coast of Zanzibar. If you are a couple or seeking more peace and quiet than nightlife, this is the perfect place. Rooms are spacious and cleaned twice a day, the view is spectacular, you have access to a beautiful beach, and also some bars/restaurants as you walk along Michamvi Beach. I loved this place for some R&R after a work trip in Zanzibar.
Amazing location, you can feel the peace straight on the ocean. Staff is just awesome, you feel like at home with friends. Here you can really relax after long days of excursions and feeling the real Zanzibar experience.
Every night we’ve enjoyed very taste meals on site.
Places like that, of course, are difficult to reach: please keep in mind that there is a difficult 20 minutes drive from the main road.
The property is gorgeous, extremely aesthetically pleasing. It is also in a great location. I wish we had spent the whole of our trip staying in Baladin. The atmosphere is great, I will definitely be back.
The Baladin beer is a must try. It’s so delicious. The food in the restaurant was also very yummy.
The hotel staff made sure we were looked after properly ask were very attentive.
The rooms was amazing, beautiful clean and had everything u needed. Very good breafast and the lunch and dinner was also very good. I stayed at 6 different hotels during my stay in zanzibar this was my second best hotell and i would definitly get back again if i ever go back to zanzibar. Very nice and friendly staff. Has nothing bad to say about it wish i stayed longer here.
Very nice laid back little hotel near the famous Kae Beach (just a short walk to Kae) - the rooms are big and clean, there is a swimming pool and a restaurant where you can have breakfast or eat a la carte.
All the girls working at the hotel are lovely, and will help you with anything you need - I would like to especially thank Sara for making my holidays so much better.
Loved the service from the manager Salim. There was a confusion with my booking and airport pick up but the hotel sent a driver to the airport regardless just in case I do arrive on the 23rd which I did. That was very thoughtful and very much appreciated. Also all the staff are very kind and helpful! I had an amazing time and would definitely stay again at the resort!
Everything was just beyond our expectations! So beautiful hotel, exceptional kind staff and amazing food! If you make reservation in Matlai hotel, make sure you reserve dinner too! You won’t be disappointed. Actually it was the best food we’ve had of all Zanzibar. And they make so beautiful ambients in hotel’s garden.
We hope, we can come back soon! 😊

I liked with helpfulness of the staff. Also, the venue beside the resort with music, entertainment, and shisha. The location is about a hour and a half outside of anything you could possibly do. They ONLY take cash on the property. All 5 Star Hotels and Resorts take cars OR cash. The food choices were minimal. The best thing I ate was pasta on the last day.
We strongly recommand Mount Zion lodge !
We stayed for 5 days and had an amazing time.
All is clean and nice, especially the garden which makes toi feel like in the jungle
The staff is very welcoming and they can organize great excursions for you.
If you looking for a calme place to chill and enjoy Zanzibar you're in the right place.
The room was nice and big. The staff was great and did everything to make us feel good. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good, there was a choice of eggs cooked in different ways, french toast, cereals, fruits, very good mango juice and coffee. Hotel has a big pool and it's 2 min away from the beach.
The breakfast was great. Warm reception by the staff too. Olena the host was super friendly and made the stay feel more like home. We got to chat about quite a lot. The hotel is peaceful and quiet and therefore easy to unwind and relax. It gave us the ultimate Zanzibar experience. I'm definitely coming back soon.
This is hands down the best hotel I ever stayed at! Wonderful exterior and interior, excellent quiet location at the sunset beach, most lovely hotel staff, incredibly good food. Would stay nowhere else when returning!
super friendly staff, family atmoshpere, helpful owners and extremely cheerful bartender of the nicest girlish laughter on the whole zanzibar, the best mangos on the planet for breakfast
Very nice and friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. Great bathroom, you can take shower and admire the stars at the same time.
It was just perfect! The location right on the beach with a lot of palm trees. The bungalow with private pool was the perfect choice. Best place we stayed in Zanzibar.
