I really enjoyed my stay at Plastic Bottles House. David the owner is such a nice person! My flight was at night time and David organized my transportation there. He also went birding with me which was amazing! If you like birds, this place is great, since there are many different ones in the garden of Plastic Bottles House.

I was in four cities in this trip. I was three first night and last night at the Victoria Rock Resort in this my 2,5 weeks long journey. It was an excellent start for this journey as all in the staff (around 15 people) were smily, friendly and really helpful. It was easy to discuss with them also longer. Size of the basic room was good and it had an balcony with a view to the lake. Also there was well closet space to clothes etc. I am vegetarian (not vegan) and I had as a breakfast omelet, fruits and coffee. It was great that you had chance to have breakfast in a beach restaurant (40 meters from hotel's entrance) or in spacy inside restaurant. Location was good for me next to the beach and it was only 1,5 kilometers to biggest shopping mall. Trip to city center was only four euros by uber or two euros by boda-boda. I will stay here again if I do return to Entebbe.

Mpigi is the right location for everyone who would like to get out of the noisy and crowded Kampala. It is a well organized and neat town (compared to other towns in Uganda). The people are friendly and helpful. You can buy all basics in town. Dont expect fancy coffee shops or touristic shops. It's really just a small town.
Its is near the Mpanga Forest, which is great stop near Kampala to get a jungle feel. It is not very tourist and you should definitely carry gum boots. But it can help to recharge the batteries after a hard office working week.
