Fort Murchison Lodge by NATURE LODGES LTD, hotel in Pakwach East

With river views, Fort Murchison Lodge by NATURE LODGES LTD is situated in Pakwach East and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

Great location, superb outlook over the Albert Nile and great facilities. Certainly great value for money spent. However such an inconvenience to be asked to bring cash for payment especially when one is traveling from out of the country. It is not only an inconvenience to the clients but also to the business and without card payment we are then limited on how much we spend at the premises. Hopefully this will not be the case next time as we do plan on visiting the Park again and staying at Fort Murchison while there. And hopefully the road leading to the lodge will have been repaired by then. Otherwise thanks for a wonderful experience and kudos to the staff, especially Herbert the manager is doing a great job with his team.

The view of the Albert Nile, the wandering elephants so...

The view of the Albert Nile, the wandering elephants so close you could almost touch them, the culture, the smiling people, the beauty and the nature. Cherry on top of the cake, the closeness of the Murchison Falls National Park and all the activities one can indulge in.

    Location good Rooms good

Location good Rooms good Restaurant pathetic: yesterday we ordered food for 3 people (1 pizza, 1 fish to be shared by two) at 17:30, for 18:45, to eat before the lakeflies come and as long as we still see what we eat. The fourth person came at 18:30h and wanted pizza, there was no more pizza as there was no more cheese. The fourth order, fried chicken and fries, came first, the pizza second, around 19:15h and the fish at 19:30h, 45 minutes late (having ordered two hours prior). Turned out parts of the pizza was BLACK on the bottom, like charcoal. When the waitress was asked what she would do about it, she just looked like a deer in high beams. I asked her to take the charcoal to the kitchen, nothing ever came back. When I asked her today, she told me ‚it was a mistake‘. Pathetic. Both the waitress and the chef who react like that should be fired on the spot. For breakfast, one of the dishes were poached eggs. They were hard boiled. We were just told there is still no pizza, because they failed to buy cheese, at 17:30 pm. Just pathetic.
