The Front Office staff is great. Jackie helped us with all our questions and helped us with extra water, which shows her empathy and the willingness to help guests.

The location was handy for the nearby rail station which was one of the things we were keen on. Reception area, lifts and hallways were all clean. Staff were friendly enough for the amount of time that I dealt with them. Breakfast was basic but the area was kept clean and topped up and actually stopped me from over eating at breakfast which I can have a tendency to do. We had chosen the hotel to be able to get the train up to Newark Penn Station for the ice hockey and it did what we needed.
Located just 3.7 km off Interstate 95, this hotel has an on-site restaurant and free Wi-Fi. The New Jersey Exposition and Convention Center is an 8-minute drive away.
Absolutely disappointed in the stay .. A suitcase was stolen from inside the locked Hotel room which leads me to believe that it was a Staff Member... Room Service were very rude and the room was not cleaned for days even after several complaints and request were made ..I have video footage of it all

THE ROOM WAS TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE TERRIBLE LOCATION, ACROSS FROM A PORNO SHOP & A CAR LOT ON BUSY ROUTE 1 IN AVENEL, NOT EXACTLY A PRIME LOCATION. I HAVE BEEN CHARGED LESS IN MANHATTAN, NYC HOTELS WITH TWICE THE AMENITIES YOU OFFER WITH BETTER LOCATIONS FOR LESS THAN I WAS CHARGED BY YOU! NEVER AGAIN, UNLESS IT'S THE ONLY OPTION I HAVE. CAN YOU GUYS AT LEAST TELL YOUR STAFF TO BE SURE THAT ALL OF THE SHOWER AMENITIES, LIQUID SOAP, HAIR SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER ARE FULL?!? NEVER AGAIN UNLESS YOU ARE THE LAST RESORT!

Staff at front desk was great; however, the shortness of housekeepers is not good; especially when a guest comes to get away and relax, then have to request clean linen and towels to do housekeeping job is not cool.

Its a very racist hotel.
Its a very racist hotel. With the staff and the guest staying there too. Even my kids say it. Plus we had to go down to the front desk and for house keeping didn't get housekeeping until after 8 pm going to 9 before the house man came and clean our room. Not even my kids room were clean
The location is excellent. Horizon Inn is 40 minutes by Train from Newyork to Avenel; and the Motel is just 10 minute's walk from the train station. The Horizon Inn is located in a very quiet, leafy area which I liked the most. The manager and the staff are very friendly and helpful; they even allowed me to use their mobile phone to make a call to a restaurant for food as my phone didn't work. The room was clean and spacious enough. Good value for money.
My family is in Staten Island. The location is very close to both The Outerbridge Crossing and The Geothels Bridges. The hotel is clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast and the pool was not open, due to New Jersey Covid rules. Coffee was still available in the lobby, as well as snacks and drinks for sale.
The room at the hotel was amazing it exceeded my expectations My wife and I had a very enjoyable and memorable evening anyone looking to have a romantic night away with their spouse or significant other should definitely check this place out I know my wife and I will definitely be back.
Horizon needs to stop dealing with these 3rd parties out there. I booked a room with Jacuzzi when I got there it was a regular room. And neither the hotel and the 3rd party wanted to help.
Be careful people.....
Nice hotel with various services such as a gym and a small shop to buy drinks or something to eat. Generous breakfast and comfortable rooms equipped for seniors or those with special needs. Very friendly staff.
The carpets were all burnt. Drug deals going on in the hallways. I literally paid $90 and only stayed there for 2 hours. I left my room card on the table and just found a diff hotel. This one was just gross.
Room was clean and bed/pillows very comfortable. Quiet hotel even tho it is next to a busy highway. Great location, my third time staying here and I would stay again.
Beautiful room very comfortable.
The family that owns the hotel is very friendly and went above and beyond to help us solve some problems with our trip.
