Quarterdeck Resort, hotel in Baxter

Quarterdeck Resort features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and terrace in Nisswa. Among the various facilities of this property are a bar and ski-to-door access.

Everything was good but would be nice to have pool and sauna and hot tub open till 10pm not 8pm and if restaurant would be open every night. We were resort owners and these are the things I suggest and would think could improve it.

Liked the location. Room was clean.

Liked the location. Room was clean. Didn’t like my room being accessed to change lock on door while I was away without my knowledge. Loud talking in hallway at 11:30 while I was trying to sleep had to go to front desk.

We weren’t there long enough to really enjoy the area, but seemed to be family friendly. Lots of shopping available along with recreation areas. We learned about the wild rice and how it is harvested.

    Loved the resteraunts!

Loved the resteraunts! Loved the proximity of Fleet farm as we had to get our fishing license, gas stations everywhere, so close to grocery store, which we hit our first night there, loved that convenience. Went into Nisswa and watched an adorable turtle race. Next year, we're staying a week. And we cane home with money to spare!! We loved Baxter, we recommend the Sidetrack resteraunt. Had breakfast and dinner there, both reasonably priced, and fabulous food, especially the Walleye. It was very easy manuevering around Baxter, truly loved it.

There are a couple of absolutely amazing little shops that you should hit up when you're in town next. My favorite coffee place is Loco Espress in the Northern Pacific Center. They have bomb tea, killer hot cocoa and the BEST Lavender London Fog I've had since coming back from Colorado! Goody's Gourmet Treats is just a couple doors down from Loco Espress, they have ice cream, trinkets, unique candy and candy I haven't seen since I was little. They are definitely worth checking out! My last recommendation for food is downtown at the Knotty Pine Bakery. We stopped in because we wanted to grab something to eat, and I cannot even begin to describe how amazing the cinnamon roles were. I'm picky due to my training in pastry arts, but these were damn good. If you're looking for a good book, or crystal, CatTails Books & Gifts is just down the street from the Knotty Pine Bakery.

Good location. We were able to travel to places we wanted to visit rather quickly. Good restaurants. Especially liked The Boulder Tap House...good food and enjoyed that they offered beer from the local breweries.

The room was big and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. I enjoyed the pancake machine and the yogurt dispenser. The only thing that was missing was a comfortable chair. We use our hotel room a lot, so if we hadn't had a lawn chair it would not have been a comfortable room. This is a great place to stay it you are on the go and only use your room to sleep.

Breakfast was awesome. Staff making sure everyone stayed quite. There was Hockey teams and dance teams staying and didn't hear them. Not like other hotels I've stayed at. Very friendly staff. The staff found a few expensive things I left behind and made an awesome effort to make sure I received them back.
