Beaufort itself is great. It's a small town but getting more and more crowded every day. So, if you want to go, go now. Don't wait too many years. In the city itself, there's not much room for expansion.

It's grown from the sleepy little town it was when I was stationed there late 70s early 80s. Still nice place to visit and the people are down to earth good people. Loved Port Royal & wetlands, downtown Beaufort busy, car congestion, but nice views from the water's edge.

A quiet little town like most cities USA.
A quiet little town like most cities USA. Surrounded by water, lakes rivers, and ocean so there are more than a few bridges to cross. A decent number of hotels, and restaurants to serve all of those who visit this city while attending a week of Marine Recruit Graduation.
At least 20,000 Marine Recruits attend the training there at Parris Island so approximately 2000 family members attend graduation three times monthly so the city of Port Royal, and Beaufort should obtain grants to cater to all walks of life Americans who come to shelter, lodge, eat, shop, and fill up with gas, as often as this for our Military population.
This adds up to approximately 40,000 family members of 20,000 Marine Recruits who visit as a result of ONE REASON, MCRD PARRIS ISLAND, SC!! Quite The Economic Powerhouse I Would Say!!

Beaufort is a beautiful town.
Beaufort is a beautiful town. Please tell me Bookings.com is really serious about paper straws over plastic. They are more toxic than plastic. All the coffee stuff is wrapped in plastic. The soap containers are plastic. Water bottles are plastic. It makes me sick to see the total hypocrisy by Woke idiot managers of companies like Bookings. Will never use you idiots again.

Downtown Beaufort is nice, but it's quite small.
Downtown Beaufort is nice, but it's quite small. There are some decent areas but mostly there's nothing here. You have to drive 45 mins to Blufton for anything. I only go because my daughter lives here, due to my son-in-law is stationed on Parris Island.

We stayed here for my son’s US Marine Corps graduation week. The apartment is tucked away in historic downtown Beaufort. It’s spacious and private, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Short walking distance to the waterfront and all of the downtown shops and restaurants. And it was only a 20 minute drive to the Parris Island base. We loved it, and would definitely stay again when we’re in the area! Definitely recommend for a quiet family get-away, or if you’re visiting Parris Island fir USMC graduation.
We stayed at the hotel for one night and wished we had booked another. Lovely location close to the river front. Staff were great. We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage and go out for the day. We were offered a free pass to enter the local state park which we took advantage of as it was our plan for the day. The breakfast voucher was for a very nice breakfast restaurant where the food was excellent. Our room was very spacious with everything one would expect. I would recommend this hotel.
Just a super clean, comfortable and stylishly updated property 1 mile from the centre of charming Beaufort. Loads of space to park outside and to relax inside. Fab power shower (as long as you pick the second bathroom!). Super efficient Aircon means the temperature is where you want it quickly. Clear instructions and keypad entry makes things so much better - no risk of forgotten or lost keys!
You cannot beat the location of this hotel, all of Beaufort is within walking distance and I loved the size of this little hotel AND the over 6' soaker bathtub was phenomenal. This hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed at. The Java City coffee shop that is attached has wonderful food, wine, beer, sandwiches! I will most assuredly stay here again!!!!
Convenient to where we need to be. Easy to get in and out of. The VERY best coffee I’ve ever had from a hotel or probably anywhere. Everything about the property was wonderful. Staff were super nice and welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again, when back in Beaufort.
Michael, who ran the breakfast area was fantastic. He did an excellent job serving the long line, keeping the dining room spotless and had a great sense of humor. The front desk staff was rough and not very friendly. If it were not for Michael, we would have moved hotels for the second night.
Clean and specious rooms. Very friendly and helpful innkeepers with lots of unexpected extra's: free entrance ticket to the Hunting Island, beach towels, beacht chairs, free coffee at all times, free cookies. The breakfast in the morning is terrific at the beautiful outside porch.
The king room with sofa was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed having coffee in the room. The hot breakfast was very appreciated. The location is convenient to both downtown Beaufort and Port Royal. Eating establishments are close by.
Beautiful little cottage with lovely interior design, soft colors and welcoming vibe. Everything was thought off, very clean, the location is amazing, the yard was fenced, and everything was very pet friendly.
The breakfast and gentleman over it was outstanding, the room was fabulous- we loved the kitchen, and the hotel overall was beautiful. It also had great customer service and staff.
This was a perfect pick, close too the Marine base and close to restaurant. Staff was very friendly from time of booking to time of check out, it is also a pet friendly location.
