It is a really good location if you want to visit Harris Beach, Myers Creek or Samuel H. Boardman! Bed was really big and the location felt safe. The lady in the office was really sweet! Looks like the pictures

Quiet and secure location with a stellar view from the front of the property. Fridge stocked with beverages and essentials. Best night sleep in ages! Superb bed, pillows and linens. Debbi and Scott are gracious hosts and lovely folks.
Brookings is the last city north of California. If you go South, be sure to fill up your car tank, because the gas price in California is much higher, easily $1.5 more for the gallon. Otherwise, it is easier to camp in California than in Oregon.

I always enjoy Brookings and I vacation here at least once a year. It has a moderate climate year-round nestled in the midst of outstanding scenery both north & south. The town has many lodging, camping, shopping & dining options while maintaining a small-town feel.

A small, quiet town. Great Fred Meyer supermarket.
A small, quiet town. Great Fred Meyer supermarket. Lots of fast food and other restaurants and coffee shops. Starbucks in Fred Meyer. Our favourite was the Bell & Whistle Coffee House by the harbour. Also highly recommend Slugs 'N Stones 'N Ice Cream Cones (ice cream parlour), again in the harbour. We attended a couple of free Sunday music concerts in Azalea Park (in June) as part of the summer music festival. Also highly recommend visiting the redwoods (Grove of Titans) down by Crescent City and Jerry’s Rogue Jets up at Gold Beach. We will also be checking out the Salmon Run Golf Course just a little way up the Chetco River valley.

Brookings is great! I love Brookings! Just didn't like the Americoast Inn, it wasn't the best.
I will always go back to Brookings to visit- just won't stay at that place again. Don't know how it got a AAA rating

Love this small coastal town.
Love this small coastal town. Awesome beaches, lots of fishing available, impressive selection of restaurants/cuisines. Many recreational activities in the area. Make sure to visit the Port...just park and enjoy the beach and ocean views. Harris Beach, Chetco Point and Mill Beach are must see spots. Black Trumpet Bistro for Italian, Khun Thai great Thai food, Catalyst seafood owned by local fishermen, Pacific Sushi just to name a few.

This area is beautiful with a lot to see and do if you are a fan of the ocean and river! Wonderful state parks nearby, many good restaurants & restaurants and interesting shops .
We really enjoyed eating at Fat Irish Kitchen and Pub on this visit.
We stay here every time we come to Brookings. The recent upgrades are excellent! Our room is clean, spacious, and comfortable. My family throughly enjoys the indoor pool surrounded by the glass atrium. Marianne checked us in for our stay, she knew my name when I came in, and was incredibly sweet and very pleasant. We also enjoy how close we are to the Harris Beach. Overall great place to stay.
Wonderful artistic home ... breath taking views ... and wonderful hosts! Especially the "guard dog"! The home is situated on high slopes overlooking the Coastal entrance into Brookings and provides a first hand setting to watch the weather and waves. The home's decor contains a myriad of antiques, art, and collectibles ... is warm, spacious, and inviting. Comfortable and cozy as well!
This motel is a typical older facility, and has not been updated. BUT - the owner/manager is wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable - with a fridge/freezer and microwave. I appreciated the surplus of towels and the roomy dressing room area. And they are pet friendly! What a great value. For the price, I was extremely happy and it met my needs very nicely. I'll be back.
In reality it looks way better than on the pictures. It was very clean, the location is great (close to all restaurants and attractions in Brookings)! The beds were very comfortable. You can even plug your computer to the TV and watch a movie! Very nice service at the reception. My friends and I really enjoyed it ;)
It felt like a large space inside. Having designated parking right by the door made it easy to load and unload our stuff. It was also well stocked with dishes/utensils for making meals in the room. Having a couch/bench was also a plus. Something we missed having at the next hotel we stayed at in Bandon.
Nothing went well, from check in, to check out. Poorly managed and all around a horrible hotel. No heat or cooling in room. The breakers kicked twice while in the room, had to switch them myself.... in the room, could have been electrocuted. Dirty, like everywhere. Can't stress enough, DO NOT STAY HERE!
The Tanbark Shores was superb. It was exceptionally we'll set up and had all the amenities we could have asked for and they thought of many we hadn't even thought of. Our hosts were excellent and welcoming. The location near Brookings and to the S Oregon and N California sites.
We had the most amazing view of the ocean and sunset from our room. Very well appointed and modern with a good (although small) balcony. Breakfast service was exceptional -couldn't fault it! We would definitely stay here again if we come to Brookings.
Great location for going to see the south Oregon coast. About 10 minute drive north of Brookings. The cabin was at the top of the property with a fantastic ocean view. The cabin (U 24) was nicely appointed and has its own hot tub.
The room was clean and very spacious. Hotel staff were friendly. Checked us in quickly. Advised us to make sure we didn't wait to late to get food as most restaurants closed at 9. I will definitely be back to stay in the future 😃
Breakfast was ok. All so so nothing great. Coffee ok. No. Delicious or sspecial
We liked the beach and rooms. Very beautiful and comfortable,
The exterior of the hotel was sub par with no elevator and declining exteriors
We had issues with our car and couldn't leave make it to the hotel. We contacted them and they were so nice and understanding as they refunded us for not able to make. For this we will rebook again in the future.
The room was lovely and much bigger than we usually get in our area (this booking was in Oregon and we currently get hotel rooms in CA) It was nice having the desk.
We liked the view of the ocean. We also liked that it was pet friendly. Had a nice grassy area, with a place to dispose of pet waste. Was a short drive to town.
